A completely revamped people tab has been rolled out, and it contains a wealth of new features. It's been rebuilt from the ground up, and even though it is much more data intensive than the previous people tab, it's actually about 50% faster to load.
New Features
- Upload images
- Attach links (image links and youtube links will be transformed automatically)
- Easily report comments
- Share comments
- View all of your followers
- View everyone you're following
- Easily search the members database
- Follow recommendations
- Edit your comments and replies for up to an hour after you post them
Revamped features
- You can actually use the + sign in a comment
- Improved responsiveness
- Better hashtag results
- Overall better design, while still holding true to the previous design
All in all, I hope you all enjoy it! Many thanks also to the beta testers (special thanks to @Lava, @niteowl, @Aquestioning, @AriaAdams, @Iggy, @fortis, @Auxiira, and @Aley) for their input on the design and on catching bugs.
One last thing - Easter Eggs
I have built five Easter Eggs into the People tab, and these can be accessed by typing a command into the comment box and then clicking the post comment button. These commands do not have any spaces, and they are all lower case.
Some clues:
Command #1. The Americans and the British spell this word differently, but the American spelling is used. It's plural, and begins with a c.
Command #2. Alphabetically, it's the first Google search engine easter egg.
Command #3. This command begins with a number, and ends with the first letter of the last word of a poem that contains the line "And be one traveler, long I stood".
Command #4. This command comes from an old English word meaning to "draw out and twist." Needless to say, the modern spelling of the word is used.
Command #5. Combine these two together, and you get 5. But be sure to turn the first from plural to singular!
