Voted...Sorry, Nate. I'm just not for the badge system. It'll make things a little more complicated for older YWS members who feel like the color system is home. ~Cheez_Burger~

Where would the badges be displayed? I'm afraid it would look crowded.

I think the little circle buttons go below our review stars (or something like that) and the bigger ones go on our profile. I may be wrong.

Bring on the badges! We are not enlisted in the military. Hence, we can negate ranks.

On where the badges would be posted:

I'm not quite sure. I have some vague ideas, but I have to wait until I see it in action to make any definitive choice. The idea I have right now is to rearrange the poster details (age, gender, location, etc.) to give more space for the badges and insert them on the right hand side of your avatar. The small badges would be displayed, and the larger one would be shown when rolled over.

However, only two or three badges would be displayed within the poster details. The rest would be shown in the user's profile.

But please note, the above is only one idea I have. Without seeing it in action, it's hard to say. Suffice to say, though, that I'll ensure it won't look cluttered.

We need a third option, communism. Or at least socialism with Nate as dictator. But I voted anyways.
Spoiler! :
I like people thinking that I have something so scandalous to say that I put it in spoiler tags, and I'm sorry that because of this selfish desire you were roped into reading this for not real lasting value.

Why not a Socrates styled benevolent dictatorship?

Communism has been proven effective through years of large scale testing. Why reinvent the wheel?

Hi!

Haha, we already have the purple and blue colors. We've had them for a few years now. :) The voting is currently regarding whether we should keep the old system or switch to the different one.

Oh oops. I think I stated that wrong, or put it in the wrong thread :thud: Maybe I shouldn't have been on YWS at midnight :smt015 Forgive me. :smt005

Kyllorac suggested that maybe we reform the groups into orange people for various reasons. Here are some of his posts.
Here, here, and here :D

EDIT: They don't need to be orange, lol.

I think those new badges are rather snazzy, and do adore the "storybooker" one especially.

Liv -- ah, no, I read that wrong. I see what you mean now. My fault for misreading. :) But it's definitely an idea that can be considered later, after a decisions is made for the current poll. Something to bring up at the next YWS reform! At the rate we've been going for this last year, Nate'll probably have a new idea coming in another month or so. ;)

Four kinds of people I hate most in life.
1. People who use a preposition to end a sentence with.
2. People who can't count.
3. People who think it's 'clever' to quote ironic phrases.
