Personality: Yuki is headstrong and dominant. She likes being in control, and doesn't mind when she's not, but she tends to question others often. When it's time to work, it's time to work. She never slacks when she's completing a job, and always gives it her all. As long as it involves money, she's in for the ride. Anyone she helps or teams up with is considered family and she'd do anything to keep them safe. She's a natural born leader. Years of navigating the underbelly of Tokyo has made her highly skeptical of others motives. She approaches allies and potential threats with caution, always questioning their loyalty. Yuki also carries emotional and physical scars from her past, including loss, betrayal and trauma, but she hides it remarkably well.
History: Yuki's parents died by death note when she was just thirteen years old. She took care of her two year old sister from that point on and raised her away from all danger or threats. Her whole life, she's been alone, and was even betrayed by most friends. She loves technology, but hates the way it's been developed. She doesn't agree, and never has agreed, with the way it's being used. At 17, she found a job working for a successful entrepreneur and discovered how much money came with being a hitwoman. Having had extensive knowledge in weapons (from gun ranges and research, as well as practice) and martial arts, she soon learned to perfect her craft. She'd become extremely wealthy in about a year, being able to buy and acquire almost everything she wants.

Personality: Mei is shy and curious. She tends to stay away from drama and danger, as per her sister, Yuki, suggests. She follows her sister around like a lost puppy. Though, she is extremely smart and strategic. Mei thinks on the logical side of things, and is very tech savvy.
History: Same as Yuki. They're inseparable.
Color Pallete: Light Blue, Silver, and Green
Skills/profession: Tactician, she's a very strategic thinker, analyzes enemy movements and their vulnerabilities. Helps plan out missions.
Role in the 9:Tactician, too young to go out on missions for the most part, but is willing to try and learn.
Other: Not up for love at all, Yuki would not allow it.

Appearance

Personality: Kiyomi is a sweetheart, she is very ethical and has a soft side for kids. She doesn't like bullies and often stands up for those who can't themselves. She talks softly, yet confidently, and a pure yet determined heart. She doesn't usually talk unless being asked to, though, and is an extremely quiet person. When completing jobs, she never harms anyone, and usually gets in and out without anyone noticing her with no problem.
History: Kiyomi is the daughter of Echo. She didn't agree with his standpoints and left after an argument with her father when she was 16. She lived off the streets for a while and would steal or rob places for money, also by committing fraud. Hence, why her talents are infiltration and forgery. She joins the 9 in attempt to get back at her father, and end his reign over that overpowered corporation for good.

Skills/profession: Infiltrator, very stealthy and good with disguises/ can blend in easily and is almost eerily quiet wherever she goes-- light on her feet, she's also very fast-- almost too fast. She is also a Forgery Specialist and can create IDs, Documents, and access cards from scratch that actually work.

Appearance: Sarah is tall, standing at a respectable 5' 10". She has flowing blue hair down to her shoulder and piercing blue eyes. She always has a determined look on her face, ready to take on whatever is headed her way. Her cybernetics are at a minimum, the only modification being a small chip just behind her eyes and reinforced ankle and knee joints. Neither are particularly visible on her body. Her body is marred in little scars, the kind one picks up with a rough and tumble life. She's not exactly a beefcake but years of hard work mean she's noticeably toned. Most people wouldn't pick a fight with herd.

She's usually pretty covered up dressed in tight jeans and combat boots along with a practical top and usually her favorite leather jacket over it. She has a necklace she always wears with the initials V & P on it.
Personality: Sarah is a resilient girl. From a young age she had very little in the way of comfort and very much in the way of obstacles to overcome. That turned her into a very self sufficient young woman, always knowing to rely solely on what her body was capable of. She's calm, and very much in control of her surrounding even while everything around her falls apart.

She does not take any crap for anyone but she does know when to bow her head to stop a situation from escalating. She does prefer not to make a scene under most circumstances. She's living her best life when too many people aren't focused on her especially in this unfamiliar city with its many lights and many more dark corners.
History: Sarah grew up with Nomad Clans of Australasia deep in the desert free from the reach of most of the world's many powerful corporations and in a tiny oasis that was not a concrete jungle. Living was tough in these parts, technology was scarce and while it was always a ploy by the corporations to use this to control you it was still incredibly helpful.

Sarah grew up walking miles to fetch water, actually hunting her food instead of having it all three d printed and grown conveniently in labs. She was surrounded by real wildlife and real danger which did mold her into picking up a lot of skills that in this century was a rare thing.

It was a tough life, but a good life among a family that loved her. Then there was hell. A corpo sympathizer gained some traction in the clan and Sarah along with several friends and her parents had to join or be killed. She ended up running away alongside three of her best friends Valerie, Panam and Judy. They came to Tokyo together before going their seperate ways for their own safety. They promised to stay in touch and they have so far and are hoping to soon be clear of danger enough to reunite.

In Tokyo, life was so very different and having barely any money to her name, Sarah was down in the dumps when she was given an opportunity by a mysterious woman named Regina. A simple job. In exchange for money. She used her skills carefully, leaving a clean scene that no one could trace to anyone. Regina was impressed.

In just a year Sarah was one of her top mercs, the one to call upon for anything sensitive or delicate. She was a ghost, a ghost that could take out a small armed squadron by herself if needed.

And that's who she is now, and her prowess is what got her recommended to the nine. She hopes this will earn her more reputation and more money to get her position higher expediting her reunion with her friends or really sisters. It helps that its a cause she fully supports. She does not take jobs that go against her personal ethics.

Other:She desperately wants her sisters back and to maybe find a new couple of friends. She's quite lonely at the moment and as much as she tries to pretend she can handle it, growing up in such a tight knit community means she really badly wants a family again.

Appearance: Serika is on the shorter side, standing at just 5' 4". She has striking platinum blonde hair that's practically white. She has piercing grey eyes although she has contact implants that can change their color if she wishes to. Her skin is flawless, kept that way through several little treatments that gives it the ability to not scar or wound nearly as easily. She has no immediately visible cybernetics most of the tech in her being subdermal to keep her skin looking smooth for her clients.

She was always one to dress skimpy and even after now being fired that's what she likes often clad in a skirt that just about barely counts as clothing unless she's bending over. She usually wears stocking along with high heels, her ankles being reinforced enough she could absolutely run a marathon in them. Her tops vary sometimed just a literal bikini top and sometimes a crop top and half sleeves. She' also usually wearing large heart shaped earrings.
Personality:Serika is a suave seductress. She is generally compassionate and tends only to spread good but she absolutely is the kind to have you wrapped around her finger if you let your guard down. She is quite good at getting people to share secrets and generally being persuasive.

She has a slightly exaggerated carefreeness to her sometimes born of her having to spend entirely too much time thinking about how bad everything is around them, this being her counter to avoid giving up hope on the fight towards getting the common person to a comfortable position in society.
History:Serika was an orphan from birth abandoned by her parents who couldn't afford to raise a child. She was left pretty much to die until she was taken in by a kind stranger, a streetwalker as it were who had no family of her own named Evelyn. She raised her as her own, sharing with her the little she had. Serika was informed at a pretty young age Evelyn wasn't her birth mom but she didn't care, she loved her for choosing to take care of her.

They developed a very strong bond and even though they didn't have much and often Evelyn would come home exhausted and barely able to walk, they built a life together, as happy as one could be in circumstances like theirs. It was many years of sharing one synth meat pie and cuddling in bed, singing quietly to distract from the hunger eating away at both of them.

Serika grew up fast and by the age of sixteen she'd grown into a very attractive young woman and despite Evelyn's warnings she took up the family business as it were. They really needed the extra money and Serika would learn to handle. And handle it she did, and handle it she has all up until a fateful night four months ago when her tech broke and she was fired deemed not worth the investment to repair. Her mother has had to retire too by now and earns money performing singing shows on the street using a few tricks from her previous trade.

Needing the extra money Serika looked far and wide for other jobs and finaly she landed this. She's a resourceful gal with a lot of connections and the team thought she'd have value. She's also really good at winning people over which certainly helped matters quite a bit. So now she's a bit of a street kid, doing things here and there, pulling in favors for her new crew. It earns her enough to keep her and her mother going.

Other:Serika truly enjoys her line of work. She isn't a big fan of the joytoy doll thing where she has to be someone's fantasy but learning what someone likes through interaction and giving them the time of their life is a genuine joy for her. She enjoys the happiness she can spread with it.

Appearance: Sayu is in some ways a bit more machine than woman. Standing at just 4' 10' she's rather short. Her eyes are fully cybernetic appearing blue and often glowing softly. Her hair is also blue, tied to onee side to make room for her little portable operating system that she uses to hack on the go, storing her daemons for quick use. Her skin is the most human part of her retaining its natural sheen. Her spine is cybernetic implanted into her chest along with her hands which are also fully cybernetic. Her legs are also reinforced to bear all the extra weight. Her hands let her plug into ports and scan things. She can also type much faster than a normal human.

She usually wears a simple dress with running shoes, often blue as well. She wears two flash drives as earing containing important programs and several notes that she might need on a daily basis. She never really wears makeup.

Personality:Sayu is a gentle angel. She tries to just be by herself and survive. She generally tries to be small and unnoticed and just make sure that the work gets done. She htes raised voices and getting too much attention because it usually means bad things.

Her resilience is unmatched, and there's a steely layer to her cultivated through years of just survival but it hides deep within her at all times focuing on not drawing attention and contributing her part of the plans as quickly and effficiently as she possibly can manage. A gentle angel all around.
History:Sayu was born into a decently well off middle class family that had a decent foothold in the world. As such she grew up loved and in relative comfort with her family, having a good chance at education, always having food on the table and a roof over her head.

She was quickly fascinated by Cybersecurity and The wide world of rogue AI's. She pursued it and by the age of fourteen she was a certified expert in the world. Then one day on a dare she broke into a mega corporation's secure servers. She was captured immediately, a squad sent to kidnap her and interrogate her on how she did it.

Terrified she tried to explain it was only a prank. They offered her a deal. Become their employee, for free, in exchange for not having charges levelled against her or her family. She had to agree.

So she became for all intents and purposes their slave, their weapon, the child prodigy that battled terrfying rogue AI's on a daily basis. At first she found some enjoyment in doing what she loved but being forced to do it so many times with hardly any safety precautions took its toll on her mentally, forcing her into a more passive state to avoid angering people and giving her an iron unshakeable will. It also took its toll on her physically needing so many of her body parts to be reinforced or replaced to take the strain.

She lived this life of torture until the age of 26 when those hours of unsafee netsurfing finally caught up to her. A rogue AI lodged itself in her brain's supplmentary operating system and is now trying to take over her mind and erase her in the process. She is pretty much dying as a result of this and so she was finally let go. She's kept her impending death a secret from everyone and joined the nine in hopes she can get her hands on the Nexus the one piece of technology advanced enough to save her life.

So here she is having made a name for herself as a solo hacker since getting released and thanks to the reputation she built in a fairly short time, as well as legends of her previous work, she was hired by quite literally her dream crew for her dream job. She thinks she can hold the AI back maybe six more months. Hopefully the crew will get the Nexus by then.

Other:The AI possess very powerful hacking and corrupting abilities and over the year she's learnt to turn its constant presence into a weapon on occassion allowing her to use the scanners on her cybernetic arms to literally rip code to shreds with a thought. Its a dangerous power that only speeds up the AI taking hold of her but it has kept her alive when things get really tough. She will only use it when there's quite literally no other choice.

Appearance: Hasegawa is tall, at six feet tall. She's almost as broad, being incredibly muscular and imposing. Her hair is midnight blue and cropped into a textured pixie cut. She has no visable cybernetics except for her eyes, which are an unnatural glassy electric blue. She's almost always scowling, and she's covered in scars, the most prominent one across her eyebrow and her left eye. She mostly wears non-descript clothes and has a handgun at her side.

Personality: Hasegawa is a tough, no-nonsense figure. She's task-oriented, disciplined, and often seen as cutthroat. If someone on her team does something stupid, she's not afraid to tell them to never do it again. Or else. Her attitude naturally distances her from more sensitive people, but her determination and meticulous judgment makes it hard not to listen to her.
History: Hasegawa grew up on the streets Tokyo. Her parents were gang members, smuggling Japanese tech out of the country into China and Korea. When a mole almost brought the business to the ground, her parents took the heat, and a young Hasegawa took off before she was a part of the death toll. She lived mostly off of petty crime and odd jobs, quickly learning that no one cared about you other than yourself. She figured her entire life would be like this until the Tokyo Police Department opened their doors. At sixteen, she became an officer and decided she would show the world the same care she always received. When the department was bought out by Saisei Technology, most of the leadership left, allowing her to scale the ranks until she worked with the CEO himself. He heard rumors of an uprising against him, and sent Hasegawa to investigate. She joined the nine to keep him updated on all of the things he couldn't find out himself by pretending to be a reformed officer.
Color Pallete: Dark blue, black, silver.
Skills/profession: Pretty much the CEO's hired muscle, always a call away from him. Skilled in hand-to-hand fighting and inflitrating.
Role in the 9: Martial Artist and CEO Mole
Other: Hasegawa still doesn't believe that people ca genuinely be close, and that everyone is one bad day from betraying everyone they know. It would take a gentle hand to prove her wrong.

Appearance: Dilipa has fluffy bubblegum pink hair with a shaved side. She has brown skin, revealing her South Asian heritage. Her eyes are a soft brown and she's usually grinning. Her right arm is chrome and can change shape to be any tool she needs. She stands at 5'6, but is pretty stocky with well-defined curves. She usually wears purple cybernetic glasses that can zoom reality. When not working, she throws on a skin tight dress with leggings, but once she's on the clock, it's an apron, surgical mask, and one glove. (Putting a glove on the cybernetic hand would make it pretty useless.)

Personality:Dilipa has always had a bit of sass to her demeanor, opting for sharp quips and cheeky remarks. She never says anything outright hostile or cruel, but she enjoys teasing those closest to her. Her care for others, however, is evident when it comes to her dedication to her job and the concern she feels when someone is badly injured. It's during moments like this where she can be quite self-sacrificing, stretching herself to her limits to help who needs it most. She's the living embodiment of "who's the doctor's doctor." If she gets hurt or her arm disabled, she's screwed. But she brushes that all aside and a tease about where you got your newest scrape.
History:Dilipa's parents, Saanvi and Shrestha, immigrated to Japan from Sri Lanka when Dilipa was six to chase the technology boom. Her parents struggled to adapt to cybernetics, but Dilipa flourished. Growing up, she always had a knack for fixing problems with her hands. She could collect the scrap from her school playground and make some contraption that would work for at least three minutes. Her fascination with tech and the knowledge that she was extremely lucky to have access to it drove her to pursure Cybermedics. Her hands proved quite useful, and she graduated with a hakasego, or doctorate degree and completed her three year residency at twenty-six. Her first year as an offical cybermedic went well, until she recieved a patient whose cybernetic was killing him. She repaired the cybernetic. It was good as new. But, the damage to the man was too great and he died on the operating table. From the on, she decided she couldn't let that happen ever again and pursued more knowledge regarding human opperation. To help her be the best medic possible, she upgraded to her cybernetic arm, willingly losing her human arm in the process.

Other:Dilipa sometimes wishes she knew more about her home country, but appreciates that she has a life she can use to help others. She really wants a lover she can spoil.

Name (and alias, if they have one): He Yī nuò
Age: 25
Sexual Orientation: Queer, mostly unlabeled.
Pronouns: She/her
Appearance: He is 5'1, but has enough energy to never leave your line of sight regardless. Her hair is naturally ginger and usually tied up into a ponytail. Her eyes are so dark they appear black, but they're usually behind a pair of safety goggles. She has several scars across her hands and arms, and she's somehow missing a front tooth. She looks very skinny, but is trained enough to wield the weapons she loves. Her left leg is fully cybernetic and her right leg is from below the knee. This only serves to make her faster. She's usually wearing overalls and collared shirts with the sleeves rolled-up.

Personality: He is always energetic. Either excited about a new weapon or the perfect testing grounds or angry about a wrong or a deal gone sour or in utter shambles at something going horribly wrong. No matter what she's doing, she's doing the most. It's hard to tell if it's some reflex coping mechanism or if He's brain chemistry is simply boiling. Despite He's general excitement, she's not very touchy, opting to keep people at arm's length unless they make the first move. She has no problem talking to people about this sword or this pipe bomb or this type of shrapnel, but she never really talks about her.
History: He was born in China, which had steadily grown into complete anarchy during her early childhood. There were many skirmishes over who would take over the country and many gangs who marked their territory and defended vehemently. Every day, He was lucky to survive the night. Terrified of the state of China, He's mother made a nasty deal with one of the gang leaders to get He to Japan. She had to leave her mother behind, but was able to start a new life. Being only twelve years old in a foriegn country made her an easy target for all sorts of folk, but she only discusses when she was picked up by Japanese gang member: Sukarukirā, Skull Killer. Under his guidance, He learned exactly what chemicals to combine to make the deadliest weapons and how to protect herself. She ended up losing her legs in an accident, but Sukarukirā bought and fitted her cybernetic replacements. He was a father to her. Unfortuantely, he died in a gang war when she was seventeen, forcing her to leave home once again. She pushes to save Japan from its infighting ways, to prevent the types of fights that claimed her second father.

Other: It's hard to imagine He slowing down enough to actually build a relationship on top of their tendency to never get vulnerable. But maybe there's something more there for someone patient.
