GUTTERSNIPE UPDATE

Hot damn! I finally finished that one part of Chapter Four that was pissing me off. See, Blanche was supposed to show up at the party, and then she's all I don't wanna, so I had to fill the space with something. Adele and Archie are so adorable together, I have to finish typing up the edited end of Four and then I can post it.

OTHER UPDATE

My computer was in the shop, so I'll be getting back to imputing my edit of Heroine Addiction, then I can post more.

I just thought I'd inform the masses that most of my writing has an el jay of its own. Though, Fox Feet and Guttersnipe el jay's don't have much.

Ooh! Posting would be much, much appreciated.

El Jays seem to be a good idea- I suppose, for on the spot rambling? Your rambles are always enjoyable, though, CL, so you needn't worry.

Whee!

I rambled on forever on Fox Feet characters here.

A few new characters are mentioned, which is great, and some more backround on the lovely main cast. Silly Gareth.

So, I have been sort of away, sort of not, but have been busy with things, I guess.

GUTTERSNIPE

Really, one day, I promise to post. I swear. For realsies, you say. Yes, for realsies. I have been writing more longhand which is good. Real good.

FRED & DAVY

Both Fred and Davy were concoctions that came out of The Wishing Gate my latest Fool's Duel entry. I have been dabbling around with some other shorts involving mostly Fred, because, Davy is erm, dead, very dead in fact. Sad thing, I know. But, he's still dead. Two definite shorts, A Greenstick Fracture and Heart in a Box, should be finished soon. The idea I have been toying with is to write five shorts (that number including The Wishing Gate, A Greenstick Fracture, and Heart in a Box) as the five stages of grieving, Fred's Five Stages of Grieving.

But really the bases between Fred and Davy is this: set in the future. Fred's a doctor of neuro-science, Davy is an archaeologist/anthropologist/lit geek. They were best friends, roommates, became more than that. Davy dies, and all sorts of hell breaks loose. The sort of theme I am going for is better explained by this Hilare Belloc quote -- "When friendship disappears then there is a space left open to that awful loneliness of the outside world which is like the cold space between the planets. It is an air in which men perish utterly."

FAN-MIXES

I have finished the mix for Snoink's Freak and will be posting it soon. I am going to have to put a warning: spoiler-y at the top, most definitely. I am half through one for Fand's Feather and Stone, and still working on the final song cut for Sam's Hourglass and The Something Beneath the Stairs, as well as the final song cut for the one's Guttersnipe and Heroine Addiction.

FOX FEET

I am almost done writing the part that has been giving me problems. Whee!

PROPER CRITIQUES

I have a bunch of things from YWS printed out, and am doing proper critiques on them. I thought about writing up the list of the things I have but thought that I'd leave y'all more in suspense than wanting.

Chowder,

Ooh, I should go look up Fred and Davy- they sound rather grand, together.

And! More fanmixes! *dances* They are so much fun.

Because, Regan-Henry-Archie conversations are oh-so-much fun.

“I asked Blanche to marry me,” Henry spoke.

Regan snorted, “Hope to God not the same miserable way you asked me.”

Henry waved a hand flippantly. “Well, no…”

Regan smiled at Archie’s expression, one of abject fear. “What? Oh... Well, she’s not that blonde.”
