In reviewing submissions for the Young Writers Journal this year, I noticed a lot of common grammatical errors. Some of these were mere typos, while others were more serious matters. To help out people, I'm starting a series of articles over at the YWS Blog titled: "Writing Gooder."

Okay all, one of the biggest mistakes I came across in editing for the Journal is the rampant use of passive voice across writers of all skills. So hopefully, the latest issue of Writing Gooder, which covers passive voice, should help:
