They also can't understand intellectual jokes and movies. Or sarcasm. So the amount of guys on the site would be a blessing already

It's not that there are more girls here, it's that we guys say what we have to say more efficiently.

Hmmm my personal opinion on this?

If you ladies want to see more men, you should stop bunching together and ingrouping.

The main reason you probably don't see that many is because you(a girl) write supergirly stuff to be reviewed by girls.

and guys kinda tend to stay away from things like the romance section which the girls dominate.

I also think some ladies are more obsessive with this site than most guys, and thus, the males aren't on quite so often.

Of course overall, it's clear that there are many more female than male writers out there.

-Ha but that doesn't make them any better!-

I need to add some manliness here...uhhhh.....

Demeter's right.
What about boys writing about overly boyish stuff?
It's a matter of how versatile you are.

Supergirly stuff? Psh.

I'm currently reviewing a story written by a girl which involves the main character's blood being sucked out and replaced with some completely new stuff (apparently a painful, agonizing process) to turn him into a blood-sucking demon. Bloody, painful, demons, bloodsuckers... girly?

Actually, in all honesty, there's some pretty freaking and disturbing and gory stuff on here written by girls, just like there are romances and fantasy worlds with a bit more lightheartedness to them as well. :)

And I've seen some pretty awesome romances written by guys. I'd almost say they do a better job because they need to compete with all the girls in the field. People are more likely to pick up a romance book written by a girl than a guy, the warning goes, so guys need to hone in on their craft a bit more. Female romance artists can make their heroines weak and frilly and damsel in distress to make the male character look all macho and great (can be annoying) but if a guy writer tried that (with a majority of the readers being female) he'd get skinned or go broke. Because, you see, he's a guy and he would be being sexist. Not fair, but true.

In all, girls can go either way, and guys write awesome romances.

I bet theres a vampire in their somewhwre, and you're a twilight fan.(probably)

Another problem is this

-Males only enjoy romance when it's from a males perspective.
Long paragrapsh about some guys cuteseyness are generally sickening to us.

-Females go for either perspective usually...No idea why.... natural female empathy?
