YWS Cup II First Round Draw
Beautifully, we have the exact number for a round of 32. This means there will be 16 ties, with 16 winners and 16 losers. Whoever wins will go through to the Second Round.
The draw was randomised using paper and a hat.

Matches 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8 will be played between February 28th, 2 pm, and March 7th, 2 pm.
Matches 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, & 16 will be played between March 7th, 5 pm and March 14th, 5 pm.
Please pay close attention to the start and end times of your match. I will endeavour to PM you before the start of your match to remind you and also before the end, but is your responsibility to be aware of when your match is occurring.

We now have 32 entrants and entry is currently closed.
Knock-out championship. Randomly drawn rounds create a match between two users. Some users may receive byes in the first round.
A match consists of a week-long reviewing battle. The user with the most reviews at the end of a week wins the match. This is calculated by comparing your review total at the start of the match to your review total at the end of the match.
In the case of a tie, there will be a coin flip to decide the winner.
If an entrant drops out, the highest scoring winner from the previous round will be reinstated. If an entrant drops out during a match, the other entrant will win that match automatically.
The winner receives the adoration of his peers and a £25 Amazon voucher (roughly $38 American, or $50 Australian). The previous winner is @guineapiggirl To receive the Amazon voucher, you will need to provide me with your e-mail address. I will not retain this information.
I am the judge and ultimate arbiter of any disputes about match scores and winners.
Further explanations of the schedule will be posted once the number of entrants have been established.
CHANGES TO PREVIOUS RULES
If you entered the championship last time, there are some changes to the rules:
1. Unsportsmanlike behaviour will not be tolerated. This includes tactics such as writing reviews but not posting them until the very last minute to obfuscate your review total, and make it more difficult for your opponent to understand the size of the challenge. Such tactics will be punishable by either score deduction or automatically losing the match. I am the final arbiter of all disputes to do with unsportsmanlike behaviour and will take a very hard line on it in this competition.
2. Matches which end in a tie will be decided by coin flip.
3. Art & Photography reviews do not count. The only reviews which are counted are the same ones which YWS itself counts. Therefore, the only reviews which count towards your match total are the ones on the YWS leaderboards.
