I want to say hi to everyone, I'm new to the whole internet community writing thing. I also wanted to apologize to anyone I freaked on after reading what they said on a critique, I value the input, I just nervous about putting my stuff on here, its kinda near and dear to me and I normally don't share it with strangers.

Welcome to YWS

Regarding your apology, a word of advice:
When we post our works, its our creation, and naturally something valued to us.
We are given critiques and reviews to help us improve,
And our critics' feedback are all with good intention.
Sometimes, people get defensive, but it is not encouraged that you challenge the reviwer's comments, because that's their personal opinion.
You can also politely request in your story, how harsh or gentle you'd like the critiques to be.
If you're not comfortable with 'strangers' viewing your works, then don't post them.
Remember, we don't just post our works for people to enjoy. We'd also want help with making it even more fantastic.

I'm not sure if you've read up on some stuff, but we've got some rules in YWS:
1) Keep chatspeak and CAPS lock to an absolute minimal.
2) Rate your works appropriately. R-rated works contain adult content and strong language.
3) Keep any obscenities confined to your works.
4) We have an important 2:1 ratio rule, that for every piece of work you post, you should review 2 others not done by you. It helps us keep the balance in the forums

So have you noticed that people here have different colored usernames, like Meep and I? Well, these people all have jobs on YWS.

Blue- Greeters. We welcome people to YWS and introduce them to the site.

Purples- Instructors. They review people's work and help improve their writing.

Light Green- Junior Mods. They control a specific forum.

Green- Mods. They regulate all forums.

Red- Admins. They make sure YWS runs smoothly.

Orange- Distinguished Members or retired Mods.

I totally understand how it's hard to you find it hard to post your work. It's hard at first, but the comments from other people are really helpful. You'll find that you'll get a lot of help on here, even though you may not always like what people say. I know you'll enjoy it though. ^-^
