Umm.. Hello :')

Hey everyone, I just joined here so I thought I may as well introduce myself. Well... I've always loved writing and literature from a very young age. I used to write a lot of short stories and *attempt* novel writing, but always got side tracked with another work or such and never actually completed one. Then recently (around ten months ago) I stopped writing, and reading for the most part, altogether. I suppose I let social things take over and I sort of forgot about my passion for writing. Within the last few weeks, however, I've had several "real life" problems which I won't bother going into on here which lead to a lot of self-reflection on my part. In my somewhat uncertain state I decided to "go back to my roots"- start doing once again what I've always loved and enjoyed doing and hopefully stick at it this time . My main interests are in fantasy as I find it the most enjoyable genre to read and write, but I would happily dabble into anything. Anyway I'll stop it there, I don't like rambling on about myself too much :').

Welcome to YWS, Renzo! I have a feeling you'll LOVE it here Even if you stopped writing you probably learned a lot of stuff that will help you now. I'm sorry you had to go through problems before coming back to your writing but I'm glad you decided to come join us. We have an awesome Fantasy Forum and a usergroup(or more I'm not sure) for people who love Fantasy. If you want to join a group you can click on the Group button in the black bar at the top of your screen and go down to Group Index. Then all you have to do is find the Fantasy(or which ever you want to join) and become a member. That's a good way to meet people with the same interests Now a few questions for you:

If you were a crayon what brand and color would you be?
What's your favorite smiley face?

I bet you'll love YWS. I've had a similar case of returning to writing when my life was a little tough, sort of like an 'escape.' No matters, you'll definitely have fun here.

So, what genres besides fantasy do you write? I used to stick to fantasy years back, but now, I find it really difficult to write fantasy. Anyway, poetry?

As for your second question i'm not even entirely sure what you mean. Craft? haha.
It'd also have to be Crayola, because that's the only crayon brand i'm familiar with:').

Hey lava. Well I'd say other than fantasy it'd be Sci-Fi. Anything that allows me to be truly creative I guess, although I guess that could be anything- I'm just not very good at it:'). As for poetry I enjoy reading some, but sadly I've never much good at writing my own . Thanks for the welcome .

You stopped writing for a while too? I know how that is, for I stopped writing for almost three years.

Things just got hectic in high school and I really did not feel the desire to write anymore. In my freshman year alone during art class I was partners with a kid who ended up killing two people at the restaurant that he worked at after he was fired. It was creepy knowing I sat with that kid working on a poster.

OK, enough of my ramblings.

Oh wow, our stories are very similar! I also pretty much stopped writing when I was 16 and then turned back to it when things started getting tough. It's very therapeutic... I'm glad you're back! And hopefully, the quality of your writing will increase.
