Other: I like the accomplishment I feel when it seems I get through to a person. It is a cautious feeling, because I don't want to force my style on anyone -- but it is a good feeling nonetheless. To sum it up, I think I review for the same reason teachers teach.
yeah i feel like a jerk for it but i normally only review for points. there are exceptions, there are some fantastic stories on this site that i review just because i wanna gush to the author. but yeah. usually just for points.
I like to review because when someone looks at my advice and says, "hey, that's a good way of looking at it that I hadn't thought of before," it makes me feel like I'm doing something good for a change.

For me, It's a mix between "I'm bored," "I want to improve my writing," "I want to help other people," and "I really wish that this poem/story/whatever had this one thing but the author probably doesn't know what that is and it would just be so cool if..." Except none of those would be enough to make me review, and something is still missing. I think I just like to review at times. Just like reading a book. (And I always *wish* I could review books that are famous and stuff. Be all, "no Shakespeare. That's cliche.")

Ooh I like that Fort! Reviewing just because you enjoy it! I think that's probably the camp that I fall into. I honestly like examining other people's pieces and thinking about them, maybe interpreting them, in the same way that I like to read and analyze what I read!
Dorian, are you the one adding all the spices to our food? Of course I am. Why? Because frankly the food here tastes like poorly cooked sawdust. It genuinely tastes how Solas looks.
Haha, well, that was half kidding, half serious. I'd be lying if I said I never went to review because I had nothing else to do. Doesn't mean that's my main reason for reviewing at all ever, but in that moment... Yeah.
. But I didn't see "obligation" up there....Someone reviews you, you review them.
