The Park

Ruma Glider:
A long stream of swears escapes Ruma's lips. This isn't how the battle was supposed to go! No one before has made her lose her mask. And yet this strange man in this strange place just did so!
To add to it, a strange ringing reaches Ruma's ears. "What the hell is that infernal noise?!" She snaps.

Jackie


I stutter,

"M- my name is Jackie, Jackie sharp. I'm a little scared to show my face."


I raise my newspaper higher. Then I realized I did put makeup on, whoops.

I lower the newspaper to reveal my strangely blue eyes, My long golden hair flows in the wind.

Ruma Glider:

"I wasn't asking for your name, girl!" She covers her ears with her hands as the noise continues - much to her annoyance. "Are you deaf?! I asked what the hell that infernal noise was!"
To Ruma's surprise, the ringing suddenly stops. She doesn't move for a moment. And then, after hesitating for a second, she slowly removes her hands. She watches the girl warily. "What," she begins, "was the source of that ringing?"
