Okay, so I'm about to post. When you awaken, please head down to the Dining Hall for breakfast, stop by your room to pick up a box with your Elemental Pendant in it (it enhances your powers), then head up to the rooftop. Make sure you are attacked by a mannequin wielding a staff. Fight it and win. It'll drop a note that tells you you have done well and will disappear. Then continue up to the rooftop.
Sorry to leave my post hanging like that, if you want I could do another. (Although there really isn't much that needs to happen... just a rescue and then getting them to the roof, I suppose.)
