These characters will only be used for the workshop and you do not need to be available to join a storybook afterward. 1. The Ringmaster - Rydia 2. The Acrobat - Ignorance 3. The only thing I'm willing to reveal is that the theme of this month's session will be 'obstacles' but the rest you will have to discover for yourself. Where You will be linked to a Google Doc when the workshop is ready to start. Why Because it's fun and you may even learn something ;) The Characters 1. The Ringmaster. Rydia. 47. Mr. Thomas Marvello. Dark hair, bronze eyes. A distinguished and striking gentleman. The Ringmaster is the son of a ringmaster who was the son of a ringmaster. This circus has been in his family ever since he can remember, but now it’s failing and he doesn’t know what to do. He’s like a father to the performers: strict but caring. 2. The Acrobat. 21. Zee Quinn (named after the sequin costumes worn by the performers). Mixed race. Short hair, unbelievably dark eyes. A short and slim girl, Zee has been part of the circus since childhood and grew up on the dizzying heights of the high wire and the trapeze. Her mother is an acrobat also and has taught her more about how to fly then how to read. Zee feels she is outgrowing the circus and rather likes the thought of studying instead. 3. The Fire Eater. 29. Ben “Blaze” Redfern. Golden haired and blue eyed, Blaze is a very muscular man and has a wicked sense of humour. He saw the circus as a boy and ran away from home to sign his life away, because the circus is literally his life. Blaze loves to hear the crowds cheer and to watch the women swoon when he swallows the flames whole. 4. The Tightrope Walker. 27. Kyte Redfern. Bronze haired and blue eyed, Kyte is the younger brother of Blaze and only the two of them know if that’s his real name or not because he’s been using it ever since he ran away with his brother, to the circus. Kyte’s a pretty easy going guy who gets on well with everyone and is good at balancing out his more lively and untethered brother. 5. The Lion Tamer. 34. Amanda Jones. Blonde haired and green eyed, Mandy was trained in the unusual role of a lion tamer when she was found as a small girl cuddled up against one of the beasts and showing no fear. The then lion tamer taught her how to control the animals and together they were a double act, but after being brutally attacked by one of the tigers last year, Andrello now plays the role of a clown. 6. The Illusionist. Claimed. 20. Misty Lee. Black hair and blue eyes. Misty joined the circus most recently, having only been with them for two years. Her past is unknown to the others and she likes to keep it that way, but her illusions were impressive enough to persuade Mr. Marvello to employ her. 7. The Old Clown. 58. Andrello Giovanni. Dark hair and hazel eyes. Andrello moved with a limp and his face and left shoulder are badly scarred from a brutal tiger attack a year ago, when he was still a lion tamer. Now he is drowned in white paint and forced to go on serving as a clown, a role he despises, but what other life is there for him now? 8. The Human Cannonball. 22. Zachariah “Zach” Pendragon. Dark blonde hair and green eyes. Zach is a dare devil, always looking for the next thrill and never staying in one place for more than a flash. His part of the act involved being fired out of a canon and into a net. Crazy? Sure is. 9. The Young Clown. 16. Susan Bowler. Red hair and green eyes. Susan works as a double act with Andrello and finds it difficult. She used to look up to him when he was the great lion tamer, but now his bitterness over his new role and his deformities have made her lose respect for him. Susan is a cheeky and quarrelsome girl who wanted to be a star but ended up as a clown.
