Okay, here is the discussion thread, where you can ask any questions and make suggestions and point out anything you have to say. Well, anything at least vaguely related to the SB or to YWS or to writing or something of that nature.

So, question: What are the notebooks supposed to do exactly?

The notebooks give instructions mostly, sometimes just information, sometimes advice.
In some ways, they control the readers, since once the readers get on the train, the only thing they have that knows anything is the notebook.

Question - can I submit my character using the Create a Character link, or do I have to post the profile in the thread?

Oh and how much are you expecting per post? Is there a word count at all?

And I like middle length posts. I mean, if it's a two sentence post that's no good, but I don't need a novel every time. So, I guess I'm not picky, just make sure you have enough information for it to be worth while.

So what's the actual plot of this? What happens after we get the instructions and what are you planning to go through with this, like making it magical or what? Because I literally have nothing to work on with my character. Unless my character's just an average joe who got this notebook.

I think we should plot before I make my character, because no visible plot is making me hesitant to get attached.

Okay, so the world they find is falling apart, but no one really knows why, and no one can find the person who is supposedly in charge (a king, I think?) So they have to try and find out what's causing the destruction of the word world.

Which eventually they will find out is someone stealing the words. And they have to hunt him/her/them down and get back the words, which will involve different challenges and such, and yes, the world is magical.

Hm, now that I write it all out this sounds really unplanned. But that's the basic idea, and I'm open to new ideas and plotlines.
Also, I'm not entirely sure how it will all work, so any suggestions are welcome. I want this SB to kind of carry itself and make plans as we go along.

i shouldn't, I really, really, shouldn't. I'm entering this SB with what is possibly my darkest and most screawed up character yet. I'll have a profile up, tomorrow.
