I smile wider and keep my eyes closed, not able to see anything anymore anyway without the room spinning. Lying down with her, I move my lips back onto hers.
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
My head pounds when I wake, and the light pouring in from the window blinds me. I stumble over to the blinds and close them, blinking a few times and surveying the scene. Someone else lies on my bed, buried beneath the covers, and several articles of clothing litter the floor.
For a moment I think of it as a normal night, before meeting Jackie, but then I vaguely remember her stopping by.
"Oh, sh*t," I whisper before getting dressed.
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
I wake, moaning, and sit up, the covers covering me. I see Nic bucking his jeans, no shirt, and glance down at myself before feeling like I'm going to puke.
"Are you f*cking kidding me..." I whisper to myself, laying back down and closing my eyes, hoping this is just a dream.
Finding it isn't, I swallow and set a hand on my stomach, looking at the ceiling.
All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie-dust!
She wakes and swears, and I hurry up and pull my shirt on. Instead of feeling sorry for myself at her obvious rejection of the events that ensued or feeling guilty for allowing for it to happen, I step into the kitchenette and dig out the asprin. I swallow two, pour a glass of water, and bring two more over to Jackie
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
I take the aspirin from him and end up throwing it up, coughing and burying my face in a pillow, "I swear..." I swallow and text Rayah, realizing that I'm a demigod and it comes overnight.
All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie-dust!
I wince when she throws up and decide to do her a favor and clean it up while she messes on her phone. My head spins, and I have to stop a few times during; but once I'm done I scrub my hands and wash my face. When I'm finished with everything, I lean against the doorway and study Jackie.
"I'm sorry about the asprin," I say. "I didn't think it would do that. I'm sorry about the drinks last night, too. I didn't think... I didn't think we would do anything or get that drunk."
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
My eyes widen, and my heart leaps in my throat. Time seems to stop for a moment, and my head feels light all of a sudden. I grip the wall to keep standing and clear my throat.
"W-what?" I ask. "We just had it. How can you be pregnant?"
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
I start to breathe again and shake my head, running a hand through my hair. How is this going to work? We break up every four freaking hours. How are we going to raise a kid together?
"Okay, then I guess we have a lot to talk about," I say with my eyes closed.
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
I glare at him, "you know what, Nic.. I think I'm good. I'm going home," I tell him, grabbing my stuff and start into walk out, "By the way, your brother is at my house, and I want him out."
All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie-dust!
Before she can leave, I hurry and gently grab her wrist. I close the door before her and block the way out.
"What the hell, Jackie?" I ask. "I'm saying I want to talk about this. How is that a mistake? I don't understand what you want from me. I did this to you and I'm accepting responsibility for it. Just give me a chance to talk to you about this."
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
"I don't want you to. All your going to do is leave. There's no point. I can handle this by myself," I attempt to leave again, texting Rayah to come get me because I don't want to drive.
All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie-dust!
I close the door and send her a questioning look, not letting her leave yet.
"You think I'm going to leave?" I ask. "Are you freaking kidding me? I gave up my whole life for you, and you left me. This is a kid, not a boatload of cash. I'm not just going to dump you both somewhere and hope for the best."
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
