Jane Wills
Kristin was coming back, as if the world knew we needed each other. I love this girl, I missed her so much. I hope everything is okay though.
It's the next day and I'm practically shaking from excitement from seeing her again. She's been missing from my life for too long. As I chowed down on breakfast, I got a text from her saying she'll be by my house in a few. The time difference makes the sleep for her different than mine, she wakes up really early.
So, I placed my bowl of cereal into the sink and ran to my front door, throwing on my coat and boots. It's time to drink some coffee and be best friends again. I heard my mother walking from behind me, so I turned on my heel and gave her a soft smile. She returned it, running her hair through her brunette hair.
"Hey baby, where are you going?" her voice sounded sleepy.
"Just grabbing coffee with Kristin!" I said.
A knowing look shaped her face. "Oh, she's back. I haven't heard about her for a long time. Good. Good she's back. Now you can have someone to talk to other than your mom." she joked the last words.
"Mom, don't make me feel bad."
"I'm just sayin'," she grinned.
I waved to her and closed the door behind me, walking to the elevator shaft. Clicking the button to go down, I tapped my foot against the floor. It took it a few seconds, but then the elevator went 'ding!' and the doors flew open. I automatically started to get in, but before I could stop myself, I collided into a person.
The collision was soft, but still made my head woozy. It took me a second to grasp the world around me, but I eventually got it. Looking up, I caught a familiar face.
"Chandler?" I spit out.
He blinked, taking me in. Then, a small smile creased onto his face, creating dimples on his cheeks. Somehow just seeing him again made my chest burn. In a good way burn.
"Hey, Jane," he scratched the back of his neck. "Hey,"
I ran my hand through my hair and just looked at him, all dumb. It's weird that this was intoxicating and I didn't want to leave him. It seemed like he was in the same position. We only realized we were staring when the doors stared to close around him. He stretched his arms so he could push the doors out of the way, and stepped to the side, giving me room to get in.
Blinking, I walked into the elevator and he walked out. We literally switched places. The doors started to close again and he headed down the hall. Before I could think, I hit the button to open the doors back up and called to him. He turned his head and looked at me.
"What?" he asked, his tone soft.
"Come to my window tonight," I said with a smile. Before he could reply though, I caught a gleam in his eyes as I stepped back into the elevator, hitting the lobby floor button.

I tapped on the passenger seat window and got Kristin's attention. She looked over, a wide smile jumping onto her face. I opened the door and hopped in, engrossed in her European music which I loved.
"Kristin!" I smiled.
"Jaaaaane!" she cheered.
We turned to each other and threw our arms around each other for a moment. It was a good hug that made me remember the nights we spent together and the fun times we've had. Once we pulled away, she drove out of the parking lot and back onto the main road.
"It's good to have you back." I said.
"I'm happy to be back Jane, you don't know what happened to me out there..." she shook her head.
"It must've been hard to drive up here, I mean, Oliver lived here."
I saw the tension swift through her body and she griped the steering wheel even harder her knuckles turning white. But then she loosened up, back to old Kristin.
"Yeah, sort of."

When we got to Starbucks, our talking started. She explained herself an my heart went out to her. She was best friend and Oliver totally broke her heart. Gosh, I know I was all Lacey would be good for Oliver, but in reality, Kristin deserves him more. Only because she truly loves him.
"Baby, that guy doesn't deserve you." I tried to sound all posh.
A smile creased her face and she downed the last bits of her coffee.
"Jane, what was going on with you?"
And it was my turn now to talk about everything she missed. Starting with Emmett, to Chandler to... Emmett again.
