Your character is having a normal day. And then they hear the news. Maybe they are happy or in denial... Anyway, they pack up and head off to Bryni. The ball is the day after every one gets there. They princes and princesses are kept apart from each other until the ball, where they meet, make friends, and their parents look for a suitable match.

KatKage, I was thinking, maybe your character falls in love with a stable boy, a knight, a nobleman, somebody in Bryni. Just an idea. I'll leave it up to you to decide.
