In the initial post it says that Bryni holds a ball where everyone meets for the first time, I believe

If thats the case to let everyone have a mental picture- The Bryni are like Rohan in Lord of the rings.

Rough and not as "civilized" as some of the other cultures. :3

Storyline....

The princes and princesses are at home, having a regular day when their parents tell them that they have to marry someone that they don't know for the good of their kingdom. Then then travel to Bryni. They are kept away from the other princes and princesses until the ball, the day after they arrive. They dance with the other princes and princesses. They mingle, make friends, etc.
They stay in the castle of Bryni (working on the layout!) for a week, the royals deciding where to make the blood alliances.

We'll just play it by ear from there.
