1.) How did you discover YWS in the first place?
Gee, I think I was bored one day at school and I was searching on the internet for writing websites. YWS popped up and from that moment on I spent every one of my free periods on this site.
2.) When did you discover that you like or appreciate writing?
Well that would have to be at the ripe old age of five. No lie. I used to write little books that I would illustrate and bring into school for show and tell. They were the cutest things ever! I still have a bunch of them in my room.
3.) What is the title, form and genre of the first piece you posted at YWS?
Story of a Teenage Thief. It's a short story (please don't go read it, it's horrible and I haven't gone back to fix it :O). I don't remember what genre it was, but it doesn't really matter 'cause I'm just going to forget it exists until I feel brave enough to go back and fix it.
4.) Do you have a YWS nickname?
Does it count if my username is a nickname in its own??
5.) Have you ever been banned in the forums or in chat?
Nope! I'm a good person, always following the rules
6.) What genre of literature do you detest the most?
ROMANCE! Ugh, I hate it. I mean, I know it's good to add into stories and novels because everyone likes a good love story! But I just can't stand it. I'm not a romantic person to begin with, so reading about someone else falling in love is just boring and gross to me.
7.) How long have you been in YWS?
Um...I just had my two year anniversary. And when I say I just had it, I mean it happened seven months ago.
8.) How many workshops and contests have you participated in at YWS?
Only two. I never did any workshops because I'm lazy, but I did enter two contests. I won second or third place in one of them and didn't place in the other.
9.) Who have been your greatest influences here?
I'd have to say everyone. For real, everyone I've run into on this site has been great and supportive. Y'all are the best!
10.) What is your most favorite section in the forums?
The literary section? I don't really spend much time doing anything except for reading, reviewing, and posting my own stuff. Maybe I should start visiting the other forums...
11.) Do you remember the first person you've met here? Who?
Not really sure, but the one person who sticks out in my mind is Dragonet. I think she's changed her username and got a new account by now, but that was her username when I met her. I used to join all of the storybooks and she was usually a part of them or she created them.
12.) What was your worst writer's block?
All of it? Although I'd have to say my worst writer's block was the week and a half during my first year of NaNo (which I failed at miserably) that I just couldn't write anything. It was horrible.
13.) Have you or your works been featured? Do you want to?
Nope. I think it would be cool to be featured, but of course I'd have to work hard for that. I'm trying! Maybe I'll get there one day.
14.) What is the best work you've read here and why? A link would do!
Gosh, this is like asking me what my favorite flavor of ice cream is! And my answer to that is all of them! Anyway, I've read some really great works here on the site. I can't pick just one to tell you about.
15.) Have you met somebody in YWS in real life?
I wish.
16.) Have you tried reading an article in Squills or Writing Gooder?
No. What's that? I'll have to check it out.
17.) How many storybooks have you been in?
Too many to count? I don't really remember.
18.) What book would you like to recommend the most to YWSers?
I just read this really good book called Switched by Amanda Hocking. It's the first book in a trilogy, but it was so good that I read it in three hours. Seriously, go read it. It's good.
19.) Have you used the foes feature when it was available in your profile settings?
Definitely not! I don't even know why it was there really.
20.) What do you think is the best thing YWS have done to you?
It's taught me how to become a better writer. I have grown so much as a writer since joining this site. It's brought out the best of me. I do want to yell at it for making me procrastinate my homework. YWS is just so much better than doing homework.
