I love film, and tonight is the biggest night there is for movies!

This has been my absolute best year for movies, so many amazing films came out and choosing favorites is espescially hard this year.

I do have some though, I really hope Joaquin Pheonix wins best actor, he was amazing. Denzel Washington also gave it all, and he'd be my 2nd choice. Good on them both for bringing more to the table than acting god Daniel Day Lewis (in my opinion).

Waltz just won best supporting actor, he was good, I do think it should have gone to either Tommy Lee Jones or Hoffman though.

It would be awesome if Quvenzhané Wallis won best actress but that's probably not going to happen. Surely it's between Chastain and Lawrence, i hope for the latter.

Best Picture is clear to me; Life of Pi, hands down. The only other one who could (in my opinion) compete with it would be The Master....but it wasn't even nominated! :(

If any other movie gets it, that would suck. But not as much as if Hugh Jackman wins best actor...i would explode (hopefully the rest of the worlds population as well).

Adele probably going to win best song, and thats cool, but i think Neil Finn's "Song to the Lonely Mountain" from The Hobbit should also be there though. :(

You guys love the oscars? Any favorites? Or people who hate Hugh Jackman?

Damn! I love DDL, but Pheonix should have got this one.

Would also be cool if Kon-Tiki won (Go Norway!), but yeah, was a long shot.

Even missed Life of Pi, Argo was good, but a bit overrated. Ang Lee got best director though, that's awesome.

Feel kinda butthurt tonight.

Hugh Jackman was great, but I love DDL. Definitely deserved to win.

I'm so happy for Jennifer Lawrence. Quvenzhané Wallis was great in Beasts, but she's young and has a great career ahead of her if sticks with acting. Her time will come.

Argo did NOT deserve Best Picture. It wasn't horrible, but I've seen all the nominees this year and pretty much every one of them was superior.

Happy for Anne Hathaway and Christoph Waltz (even if Leonardo DiCaprio should have won and he didn't even get nominated!).

Overall, it was a great ceremony. Amazing year for film.

All our dreams can come true — if we have the courage to pursue them.

Ya know, I think my favorite film of the year was hands down Anne Karenina. Everything about it was sooo brilliant. Although Lincoln was top notch also, I haven't seen Life of Pi or Le Miz yet though :(.

I love film, old film, new film, blockbusters, art pieces. With that in mind The Academy Awards are a complete joke. I could go on for hours on this subject but I wont waste either our time. I will say this though: John Goodman WAS the best supporting actor of the year for his performances in Trouble With The Curve, Argo, and Flight and the fact that he received not a single nomination further cements the fact that the Oscars are a complete farce.

Sadly, the Academy Awards have indeed gotten terribly predictable.

Not a fan of John Goodman though, barely remember him from Argo, along with Alan Arkin who got an oscar nom for it? (whaat?)

I was not a fan of his before this year but after seeing those three I could not help but be. Although I would concede I may be exaggerating a bit on his performance in Argo but still there is no way he should not have received at least a nomination for his performance Flight.
