Power: Clairsentience. If Melody touches someone or something, she can learn all about them. She can learn their history, and other important information. This trick does not work on others with the same power and is difficult to get it to work on anyone with powers. The stronger their powers are, the harder it is for Melody to use her power on them. The more difficult it is, the more she has to focus, and this power requires a great deal of focus and strength to begin with. When used on someone with strong powers, it can really wear her out.
Likes: Melody is pretty girly; her favorite colors are pink and purple. She likes doing hair and makeup. She really enjoys movies and wants to be a film maker/director. She likes nice people and random acts of kindness. She really enjoys helping people.
Dislikes: Melody hates rude people. She isn't a big fan of sports, and really dislikes bugs and the outdoors. She hates how modern society is too self-obsorbed to worry about others.
Fears: Melody is afraid of heights, bees, snakes, spiders people with the power to control people or read minds. She is afraid of her father who is evil with a mind-reading/control power, and her sister who lives with him, she doesn't know much about her, but she is afraid that she will take after their father.
Personality: Melody is kind and caring. Though she can be a bit girly at times, she isn't extremely popular like your stereotypical girly girl. She would be described as a goody-goody by her classmates. Melody is friendly to almost everone, she just ignores people who are mean or rude. Since she is very friendly and caring, most everyone at Arcana is nice to her and talks to her. Although a lot of people know her and talk to her, she doesn't consider herself popular because she only has a small group of people she considers to be actual friends. Melody is extremely smart and always has good grades,though she's not the smartest as far as street smarts go. Most of the teachers like her, especially because she is respectful. Melody can be hard headed at times, but it takes a lot to actually make her mad. She gets frustrated easily, but not actually mad, if you push her far enough to get her mad, you'll be shocked and wish you hadn't. Melody cries when she's frustrated so she doesn't yell, but she refuses to cry in public so she often runs to the bathroom or somewhere where no one will see her. She doesn't like to show vulnerability in front of others because she doesn't want to burden them. She has always had a love of film and wants to be a filmmaker/director one day.
History: Melody's mother and father met when they were young. Her father was 22 and her mother was 19. Her father was evil, and her mother was good, but they fell in love. Although it was wrong, they got married, her father pledging to be good. That didn't last long. They had twin daughters, Melody and her sister. Not long after the twins were born, he turned evil again. Her mother put up with it for a while, a little longer than two years, but then realized it was bad for the twins to be around him. He became abusive, in more ways than one. Then he started to terrorize the twins. Although their mother still loved him, she left him. He got custody of Melody's sister and they moved out. Melody doesn't remember her father or sister very much, until rrecently when they resurfaced in her life. She didn't really see her sister, but she is afraid of her father. She knows he is evil, and he has a dangerous power, and all of the stories her mother has told her about him didn't help. She fears her sister might end up like him, though she hasn't officially met her yet, not since they were almost 3, but at the same time, she hopes for her sister's safety and that maybe one day they can be reunited and get to know each other. Her mother always took good care of her, making sure she had a normal childhood and a great life.
She first discovered her power not long after her sister and father left. She was in preschool. She was messing around with her friends and touched one of them, suddenly knowledge of their life flooded into her brain. She was so scared. She went home and asked her mother about it, she had always known that her parents had powers, her father that of mind reading and control, her mother with the power of premonition. She never thought that she would get powers herself. Every since then she has learned to control her power, and it has gotten stronger.
Melody's mother had attended Arcana Academy, and her father, Noctrem. So when she found out about her power, her mother pretty much guaranteed her enrollment. This is her second year at Arcana and she loves it there. She can be herself and openly practice her power. As much as she loves Arcana, she is not happy about the Noctrem students attending.
Anything else: Although Melody is girly, she doesn't wear a lot of pink or show it very much. She normally wears jeans or skirts with a pair of black character shoes, a nice shirt, a brown pilot's jacket, and she does her hair and a little makeup.

School: Noctrem
Power: Astral Projection. If she focuses, she can produce a ghost-like clone of herself anywhere else. The clone is visible and looks real and people think it's actually her, but it disappears if it is struck. The clone can control someone by making them think what she wants them to by grabbing their head and whispering in their ear, however this takes a lot of energy and wears her out so she doesn't do it often. While she is astral projecting, her actual body is in a resting state, where she appears to be unconscious, although she is actually just projecting all her energy to the clone. It is harder to use her clone to control someone's thoughts if they have powers, and the stronger their powers, the more strength and energy it takes for her.
Likes: Rayvin really likes writing, and hopes to make a career of it one day. She loves to go camping and being outdoors. She finds a thrill in the feeling she gets when she uses her astral projected clone to will someone to do something. She loves feeling strong and powerful. She is a real night owl.
Dislikes: Rayvin hates the way her father treats her. She doesn't like feeling weak, unimportant, or stupid. She is annoyed by "perfect" prissy girls. She is not a fan of sports, but she's not terrible at them. She hates people who take advantage of others.
Fears: Rayvin isn't afraid of much. She is afraid of her father as he is abusive in more ways than one. She is also claustrophobic, and has a fear of failing. She is afraid of doctors and especially needles.
Personality: Rayvin is very tomboyish. She is in no way interested in hair and makeup or jewelry. She is fun-loving and free-spirited. Rayvin plays by her own rules. Though she is evil, she is not selfish. She is not out to rule the world or anything, yes she likes power, but she is kind of caring. Mostly she just does whatever she wants, even if that includes causing trouble. She is extremely intelligent, both book smart and street smart. She is way more street smart than book smart, but that's because she feels that street smarts are more important, though she's not exactly stupid as far as book smarts. Rayvin is extremely hard headed, and gets frustrated easily. She has a kind of short fuse for her temper, but it's not too short either. When Rayvin is frustrated or upset, you'll never know it because, though she wants to cry, she is great at hiding her emotions; however if necessary, she has no problem telling someone off or getting in a fight. She excels at hand to hand combat and with weapons. Her weapon of choice is a set of throwing knives, she even keeps a few on her at all times.

Her father recently saw them when he found out that her sister had powers, he wanted to try to convert her to being evil just like he did to her, but luckily her mother prevented that. Rayvin's life with her father has been no walk in the park. He abuses her both physically and verbally. He is constantly out causing trouble or with yet another random woman. He sometimes even leaves her alone for days or even weeks at a time to be with a woman, even when she was younger. He often brings these strange women home as well. He always pushed her to be evil like him, and gets mad if she complains about anything. He finds sadness a weakness so he pretty much forced her to learn to keep her emotions hidden from him.
Rayvin first discovered her power not long after her father moved her out of her mother's and his house, to the other side of town. He knew that since both of her parents have powers that she most likely did too so he had some testing done until he figured out exactly what her power was. To this day Rayvin is afraid of doctors and needles because of it. He taught her to control her power and over time it has grown stronger.
Rayvin's father went to Noctrem Academy and her mother went to Arcana, so her father knew where to send her. He left her the choice of if she would go to Noctrem and be evil like him, or Arcana and be good. There was a catch, if she chose Arcana, he would disown her and she would have no where to go. She chose Noctrem, not just because of his threat, but it seemed more alluring. She loved the idea of being able to do and get what you want, even if by force. She causes trouble often, but it's not really her fault, she doesn't mean to, but that's how she was brought up. When your evil father raises you, you're bound to have some evil come to you naturally, even if you don't try to be. She does like it at Noctrem, this is her second year as a Noctrem student, and she isn't quite sure yet how she feels about having to go to Arcana.
Anything Else: Rayvin often wears black jeans or black skirts with dark colored shirts, her black leather jacket, and a pair of black combat boots wear she keeps her knives. Her straight, black hair is a little longer than shoulder-length and is always down. She wears no makeup except for very little black eye liner.
