The reporters look at Chris, "And what is you're name? Occupation?"
All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie-dust!

"I'm Chris. Because I am still in college, I work at a gym. My plan is to go into sports therapy."

I smile and look up at him before glancing down and lowly singing a song that I wrote, and I somehow remember.

"Found myself at your door,
Just like all those times before,
I'm not sure how I got there,
All roads they lead me here.

I imagine you are home,
In your room, all alone,
And you open your eyes into mine,
And everything feels better,

Right before your eyes,
I'm breaking, no past
No reasons why,
Just you and me.

This is the last time I'm asking you this,
Put my name at the top of your list,
This is the last time I'm asking you why,
You break my heart in the blink of an eye, eye, eye.

You find yourself at my door,
Just like all those times before,
You wear your best apology,
But I was there to watch you leave,

And all the times I let you in,
Just for you to go again,
Disappear when you come back,
Everything is better...
"

I laid back in my chair, content with the mixed grill that I had just consumed, watching the golden sun shimmer as it receded gracefully over the orange skyline streaked with strokes of purple twilight. The resort had always been a favourite of mine, especially in the summer months; Miami was the party capital of the east in the States, and the natives knew it. It wasn’t to say that the only prominent things to come from the city was sex, sweat and music, if you had an eye for the beauty in the landscapes around you every day, it was clear why Florida was so breathtaking.
I seized my camera from dangling around my toned neck, the pale British skin already cooking into a steady tan, and brought it up to my sapphire blue eyes, sealing my left eye to get a better look at my shot through the lens. The shutter sounded, capturing the phenomenal image for later appreciation. This hadn’t been my task, the firm that had hired me asked solely for images of their complex and people enjoying themselves, but as a freelance photographer it wasn’t uncommon for my mind to wander now and then- my creative eye was too often tempted by the scenes around me.

An abrupt beep came from the white gadget, a luminous blue light flashing thrice before ceasing into the lightless grey. Now, of all times, it would decide to run out of power. “Meh, shouldn’t take long to charge, then it’s off to one of the nightclubs and get some killer snapshots.”

I summoned the waitress, pale blonde hair swaying in the gentle ocean breeze, paid the bill and gave her a tip. The gorgeous view as she strutted away was definitely worth it.
Laments of passion
Obstructed by fear.
Under guises of jovial chatter;
Incredulous hopes
Steadily feasting away-
Eating away at my heart.

I smile and kiss her cheek. "Of course I would." I tell her.

I thank the man that gave the the tip and slide it into my pocket. I brush a strand of my black hair out of the way and look out at the ocean. When will my shift be over so I can leave? Work was great until the sun began to set. That was when I wanted to leave so bad, I would look up at the clock every five seconds, only making the time go by even slower.

I grunt when I see I have five minutes left. These five minutes feel like a life time. I am going out tonight with my friends, and I am going to have a good time. I am not going to be that girl who says in her hotel room all summer and watch TV. I will not do that this year. I am going to have fun. The past is the past and the days to come will be much brighter.

When the five minutes are over, I rush away from work and into my hotel room. I change into a into a silver sequin dress and touch up my make up. I smile at my apperance in the mirror and run my hand through my wavy hair. I slip on my heels and walk out the door. As I look up, I see my friends and walk to them. "Wow, Kat that dress is something." One of them says.
"Are you showing LEG? another asks, looking at my legs and laughing. " A lot of leg."
I roll my eyes and we walk into the club. Tonight, I will have fun.
