Jamie

He looked at her arrogantly for a moment, then at his feet before answering and Jamie found herself getting a little... Annoyed.

"Then stop staring lazy boy," she muttered, definitely loud enough for him to hear, then kicked herself again. She was never this rude to somebody!

She bit her lip and waited for a reaction, grateful that at least this time it wasn't someone influential. At least he didn't seem interested in beating her.

Prince ~

He laughed outright at that, and her scowling did not make it less amusing. Lazy? He supposed in same circumstances he could be.

"I'm not interested in watching you work," He told her.

"Then you can leave. Or come help."

He shook his head. It was far too entertaining irking her with his "laziness". And besides which, it was against his principles. He couldn't afford to work for anyone. He couldn't give Kassim and Amir anything to throw in his face ,even if there didn't seem to be an way for them to find out.

"I think not," He said.

"Why not?"

He raced her with his best "royal" expression.

"Because Princes to not muck around in the dirt."

She felt the blood drain from her face, realizing that not only was this a prince, but it was a prince she had been rude to. "I'm so sorry Milord," She murmured quickly, curtsying. "Please forgive me."

Prince ~

"I'm so sorry my lord..."

"As you should be," He sniffed.

It took a minute for him to realize he'd really scared her. He didn't think hes title would make her go quite so pale, not matter how improprietous she'd been. It occurred to him to wonder where she had come from. Why she was down her.

He hadn't seen her before. It wasn't just that they had never interacted before, he really hadn't seen her among the servants. He was more careful than that.

"You're new" He concluded.

"W-what?"

"I've never seen you before. So unless you snuck in...."

"I didn't sneak!" She replied, offended.

He smiled. "Then where did you come from?"

"I'm not from around here," She replied evasively, trying to dodge the question. Jamie hoped that by doing that he would stop asking, and perhaps rumor of her snarkiness wouldn't come back to Prince Kassim. She shuddered to think what he would do to her.

"Well that much is obvious. But what are you doing here?"

She turned back to her work in hopes of him finding it too much work to slap her. "I'm Prince Kassim's slave."

Prince ~

Everything started to make a great deal more sense. Of course she was scared of princes. Even if Kassim hadn't actively hurt her, and there was no garuntee he hadn't, serving under him was enough to leave anyone afraid.

"I see," he said, softening. "I'm sorry"

He softened slightly and Jamie found herself a little bit more on edge. The Princes were all as sly as snakes. She berated herself once again. This boy had just lost his father, she had no right to be rude, or think awful things about him.

"I'm sorry too, about your father... This must be hard for you." She said softly, trying to keep her voice gentle.

Dania

The Prince of Mages was, to tell the truth, much younger and much better looking than she imagined. Dania was unacquainted with the way normal people aged or thought about each other, but she was pretty sure that she made a good first impression as well.

"To what do I owe the honour?" He asked, sitting across from her.
"Are you a high ranked magician?" She replied with a question, trying to put in her voice a warning of what she might do to that guy who brought her if this man says no.
"Indeed," he said, eyeing her with suspicion. She knew that look; he was aware of who she might be, and not sure if he'd ask for proof. "Will I find out your name?"
"Dania." One word, and he looked even more interested. That was good, except for he was obviously more looking at her as someone he might use than as someone he should serve.
"There was a woman of that name here before."
"You should be too young to remember."
"Years have certainly been kind to you as well, if you're the same one."
Packed in compliments, he tried to find out as much as he could. She liked him more with every new moment she spent around him - but he probably won't be the one serving her after all.
"That is mine to worry about. If you are the Prince, does it make you an heir?"
"Yes."
She smiled.
"Liar."
He frowned a little, but she was pretty sure that he was just testing her - if he was a true sorcerer knowing of her, he wouldn't be enough of an idiot to believe she'll trust his words. Her eyes, after all, we're hard to lie to, and she knew it very well.
"I am the heir," he said, now with a small smile. "They just don't know it yet."
Dania was never laughing, but she knew her eyes shined a little at that remark. He didn't seem pleased with himself to have told her that much, but she didn't care much about the battle between the King's children. Who inherits the throne, that's their business. When one of them becomes the new King, then he or she shall become her business.

Prince ~ Abandoned Courtyard

"I'm sorry too, about your father... This must be hard for you."

It was difficult to respond to this. On one had he really ought to deny it, to keep his identity hidden. But on the other hand it seemed truly vile to him to deny being his fathers son on the day of the mans death. And furthermore, he felt a strange reluctance to lie outright to this girl. Particularly about that.

"I'm not a Prince in the palace," He finally said.

Kassim ~ Private Parlour

The woman was both intriguing and irritating. Certainly she wasn't stupid. So far she had learned more of him than he of her, and that was a problem. He couldn't afford to have anyone that might turn against him know too much of his plans. Not even this woman. Perhaps especially this woman, if she was who he suspected.

"But, much as I enjoy the company of a beautiful woman, you still haven't told me why you came."

Jamie

Jamie paused, eyeing him. "Then what are you doing here?"

"Information. Things are about to get shaken up and I want to come out ahead."

She believed that, but even so... He looked an awful lot like Prince Farid. In fact the similarities were all too many. But she had learned that asking direct questions to a prince that contradicted him tended to end badly. "Then... What are you a prince of?"

Prince ~Abandoned Courtyard

Now this was a question more to his liking. He finally pushes away from the wall and strolled towards her.

"Isn't it obvious?" He asked, dark drawn eyes sparkling mischievousness.

"No," She answered carefully talking a step back.

He bowed, but kept his yes up, locked on hers.

"I'm the Prince of Thieves"

Aeaela, dancer. In the palace halls

I managed to take about three steps in the hall before I fell flat-out on my face. The vase I had been carrying shattered into small pieces, some finding their way into my hands. A small boy who was also in the hall hurried to my side. “Are you alright Miss?” he asked while helping me up, being gentle with my hands.
“I’ll live.” I picked up the pieces of glass, thanked the boy, and hurried off to the group chambers. All of the female dancers shared a room in the palace. I discarded the glass out a window and sat down to begin pulling the shards out of my hands. I did not bleed profusely, but I managed to drip blood all over the chamber’s floor.
I had forgotten where i was going while hurrying in the halls. Being distracted is normal for me because I suffer from all sorts of ailments. I can’t pay attention to anything for more than a minute, people tell me I’m paranoid, I’m obsessive over things, and I hear voices. But lately, everyone has been distracted. The king has been murdered in his bed. Glanced around and realized I was headed in the wrong direction and was in an unfamiliar part of the palace. I was hopelessly lost. I heard voices from around the corner, but I was sure I was imagining them.
“Then... What are you a prince of?" the feminine voice said. I took a step towards the noise, and again, fell on my face. "i'm the prince of theives" another voice said.

(ooc: screw it, I'm sorry but I'm just going with first person. I'm tired of going back and changing my posts)

Jamie

His eyes were locked on me, sparkling with an inner delight and mischievousness that set me a little bit on edge, yet at the same time soothed my fears about an upcoming beating, or something equally horrible. As long as he kept his distance, I figured that I would be safe enough around him. It wasn't as if I had anything of value.

"So I'm just supposed to call you Prince of Thieves?"

"That's what everyone else calls me."

I found that hard to believe. What mother would name her son Prince of Thieves? "Really? Even when they think you must be the most annoying, lazy prince they call you Prince of Thieves, every time?" Oh, there went my nasty side again.

Name: Qabilah

Age: 21 (turning 22 shortly)

Gender: Female

Role: Qabilah is the eldest of King Emeer's daughters. She is one of the shames of the royal family. In a family of handsome princes and beautiful princesses, she is the ugly one. Shunned by her father and many of her siblings, she was hidden from public eye and declared a disgrace.

Description: When she was 5, her father insisted she wear a full face veil. Since then, no one has seen her face and they have forgotten exactly what makes her ugly. She has not removed her veil in case she ever needs to move as a commoner unrecognized. No, I won't tell you what her face looks like, you will have to get her to remove her veil to see that.
She is very slim and tall, and because her body has hardly any curve at all she prefers to sport lose fitting dresses, or a tunic and baggy pantaloons to tight dresses. Her hair is sleek and dark brown, reaching to her hip. She wears it in a plait and is seemingly the only "pretty" feature about her.

Personality: She has few friends and is very reserved and quiet. Everyone believes she is not very intelligent, but really she is scheming and quick witted. It is merely a rumour she encouraged.
She is an amazing liar and she is very observant. She is well read and uses her knowledge to make plans. She likes to interfer in her siblings business and is always trying to benefit herself.
Her siblings don't really know much about her and the fact that she wears a veil makes her a very mysterious character which suits her fine. There is no love lost between her and half- siblings because of the bullying they gave her through her childhood. However, although she is jealous of Zia's beauty, she particularly hates pretty little Saja, who she believes received the love her father should have given her. Despite the cold, self-preserving wall that can only be broken down by her mother, Erina, she really just wants to be loved.

History: She is the only daughter of Emeer's fourth wife, Erina. Although Erina hoped for a child that would make herfavourable in Emeer's eyes, her ugly daughter brought her shame. The baby was named Qabilah meaning responsibility but when her oldest brother, Amir, called her Qabi, the Sarian word for ugly, the nickname sticks.
At first Qabi's father hoped her bad looks would go away with age so he just ignored her. However, her siblings did not, Amir and Kassim in particular, took about trading her. She quickly learnt to hide her emotions from her face and voice, to prevent her teasers knowing exactly how much their jibs affected her. Over time she hardened herself to them completely, retreating inside herself and raising a facade of stupidity and ignorance, so that her siblings began to underestimate her.
Meanwhile her father saw her again on her 5th birthday. Shocked by her lack of beauty he insisted that she wear a veil to hide her face permanently. From then on he showed her little attention or affection.
As a child, she started to plan and stage trouble among her brothers and younger sisters (Zia and Sylv). She was never blamed because no one believed she was capable. Over time, since of the blame was laid on Prince, who had already built himself a reputation. He neither denied or accepted responsibility.
In her teenage years, she entered as period of depression because her father's neglect. She half hoped it may earn her some affection. And it did. Her father perhaps guilty, or perhaps worried about the shame her depression could bring to the royal family, took notice if her. But rather than loving her as hoped, he simply showered her in gifts which she unwillingly accepted at her mother's plea. The only thing she gained from the event was a black hound whom she named and the lesson that love can not be bought. She finally left behind depression after many pleas from her mother. As she reached adulthood she became more mature and more withdrawn. She gave up hope of ever gaining her father's love, his affections having been stolen by Saja.

Her mother died of fever when she was 19. Her 21th birthday, usually a huge celebration, slipped past unnoticed by the rest of the royal family, because no one but her deceased mother cared and she had no friends to celebrate.
Her brothers, who only really teased her for amusement, began to treat her like a little sister, for some even with affection, but she can't forgive that easily.

Up for love: Depends -I think this depends is quite self-explanatory

(ooc: XD Go for it Bee darling. I might play with switching myself.

Yubies, I hate to be picky, but I felt the need to point out that if Aeaela has stumbles on prince and Jamie it would have to be closer to breakfast. Or possibly lunch. Normally I'd just let it slide but I'm trying to keep the timeline towards mid morning so everyone can get a chance to get their scenes in before the timeline starts going haywire)

Prince ~ Abandoned courtyard

He shrugged, listening close to the sound in the hallway. He'd have to be more careful until he new who might be listening.

"Majesty is also acceptable. Or my lord."

"I only call people I despise that"

Now that was interesting. Was she referring to Kassim? It was highly likely. He could see she wasn't fond of him, but there was a big difference between just being scared, and actually hating someone. And hate was a lot more useful to him.

"Oh?"

"Yes. And you haven't given me any reason to despise you, though you've been awfully lazy so I suppose that's reason to dislike you."

He shrugged again, feigning disinterest. "Prince is also acceptable."

"I'll keep that in mind"

"Please do."
