Ron Weasley - Doctor Who?

Someone mentioned to me today the actor Rupert Grint, who played Ronald Weasley in the famous Harry Potter franchise, was considered by a BBC crew member to fill Matt Smith's shoes as Doctor Who when he comes to move on.

Anyone else think this would be awesome?

I didn't know I needed this until now. I want this so bad.

I have been waiting patiently for a ginger Doctor. However, I do not know if I would be able to contain myself watching both Ron Weasley and the Doctor. I enjoy both Harry Potter and Doctor Who. I might die.
