Hi Guys,

So some of you may or my not remember Squills. Squills is a YWS E-zine with articles supplied by you awesome guys!

I'm going to work on putting together a Squills issues, when it's released will depend on a lot of things... for now, I need writers.

Please PM me if you are interested in writing an article for Squills. Anyone can write for Squills, there are no requirements! Just shoot me a PM with what kind of article you would like to write. I don't have any dates yet, so once we get enough people willing to write articles, I will send you the dead line. Articles need to be 500 - 1,000 words.

You must send me your article by that deadline in order to have your article included in Squills. I cannot stress that enough. I know we are all very busy people so the deadline will be roomy, but please don't offer to write an article unless you have the time to write one. Squills is something that we build as a community so without you guys, it won't get out there!

Here is an idea of the things we are looking for:

- Movie Reviews
- Book Reviews
- Writing Tips: poetry, fiction, non fiction, everything!
Art works (paintings, drawings, comics)
- Stories about YWS - What is your experience like here? Did something crazy happen to you on YWS once?
- YWS Fan Fiction
- Poetry about YWS

That is by no means the only things though! If there is something you want to see in Squills that isn't listed? PM me and I'll do my best to include it!

Out of the people who write for squills, one will be randomly chosen for me to interview! So keep in mind, not only do you get to write an article that absolutely EVERYONE will be reading, but you might get an interview all about yourself and your writing!

Any questions or comments, please post below.

Someone needs to do a member interview. It wouldn't be Squills without one ^^

I was going to interview one of the writers! Makes it easier for me to figure out who should be interviewed. We can have one on top of that though too!

Edited to Add: Articles need to be 500 - 1,000 words.

Can it be something already published somewhere else or to-be-published somewhere else later? Like, a blog post (would be my own)?

If yes, I'm in.. I'm probably in in any case, though :)

Sure! I don't see anything wrong with that since we don't sell Squills there is no real copyright issue there. I mean, Nate might go crazy and decide to try and sell them later but... :-P

Just send me the topic in a PM please!

Suzanne, just to say, copyright applies whether you sell something or not. Simply using something whose copyright is owned by someone else is an infringement under law.

It depends on what Aria means by "published" because I can't quite work it out from her post.

Edit Obviously it's okay if someone gives permission.

Oh, that's true I forgot... technically something is copyright if you mail it to yourself, I think! So, Aria can you PM me the details and I'll research to see if it works out?

I can probably write movie reviews? I don't get to see movies all the time, so it would probably be a mix of recent and current.

Lava and Sparky have both guided me towards the direction of Squills for 'Between The Lines' that's a sort of segment I've started on my blog that interviews our very own YWSers. If you're interested, I'd be happy to contribute this towards Squills. ^.^

Hey Murtuza, that's be great! As long as it's a new piece of work that hasn't been on the site before, or elsewhere, I would love it.
