Jade

I smile, watching, before the choreographer looks at me, "You?"

I sigh, "I'm Jade."

He nods and goes onto the next person.

Barren

He makes it around the whole circle and smiles. "My name is Matt Conners and I am your choreographer." He says.

I nod and smile, feeling good about everything.

Jade

I look up and he studies us, "So, we're going to be dancing in boy and girl partners for our performance. I'll paid you up. Girl's, one side of the room, boys on the other. It's an odd number, but we have a boy missing. Once you get your partner, the girl must stand infront of the boy, and get comfortable with touching each other around the waist, thighs, and shoulders. That's where they'll have to touch you. Just so it won't be awkward."

Barren

I nod and listen to him. "Okay, stand." He says. We wall stand and go to different side of the room. We wall wait until he tells us who our partners are.

Jade

He looks at his clipboard, "Bethany, Jason."

He reads off my name, "Jade..." he glances up, "Barren."

Barren

I smile lightly and nod. I am actually relieved of being partners with Jade. I mean look at her. She was pretty and I knew her five minutes more that anyone else. For some reason, that made me more comfortable.

Jade

I flash a light smile at Barren before walking over to him, turning and standing infront of him like the choreographer told us to do.

Barren

"Okay. I want you to feel how their body moves. Get to know your partner. It will help you later when you dance." He says. I nod, processing everything. I smile before sliding my hand along her waist.

Jade

I smile wider and watch him, letting him feel me however he wants. This is what they made us do in dance last year. Weird, but it works.

Barren

I move my hand up the middle of her back, smiling softly as I do. Not saying a word, I slide my hands along the points Matt told us to hit. "Okay, switch." Matt says.

Jade


I smile and turn to face him, moving one of my hands up his chest like Matt told us to do, move it to his shoulder and smile lightly, biting my lip before he tells us to stop.

Barren

Keeping my smile, I watch her as she moves. I raise my eyebrows slightly and feel a little down once she stops.

Jade

His skin is so flawless... I snap out of it before turning back to Matt as he examines us, "Good job. Take a break."

Barren

I lose my smile and walk to my bag, grabbing my water again. I take a few sips and run my hand through my brown hair.

Jade

Not thirsty, I slide down against the wall and look at the clock before glancing at Barren as he drinks. Maybe this school won't be so bad after all.
