Jag

I keep my arms around Emma and refuse to take my eyes off of Kol, "Since we first saw each other. Personally, I think that is more our business than it is yours."

Emma

"Oh, really?" He gets all up in Jag's face and my eyes widen.

Jag

I loosen my grip around Emma, not wanting her hurt again, and stand my ground, "Really. Now, could you kindly return to your own date? Tonight is supposed to be a happy one, and I'm afraid that whatever you're thinking just might take things in the opposite direction."

Emma

"It won't be, once I rip your throat out," He threatens.

I step infront of Jag and shake my head, "Stop, Kol."

Jag

I keep my arms around Emma and tighten my grip, pulling her against me. Staying quiet, I let her try and handle things.

Emma

His eyes land on Jag's arms wrapped around my torso and I watch as he shakes his head, "You are such a slut," He looks at me, "Already this far into a relationship when you broke up with me only two weeks ago. That's just sad."

Jag

I growl lowly and sense Elijah and River come to either side of me with their mates standing behind them, "Don't you dare talk to her that way. Apologize. Now."

Emma

He shakes his head and keeps looking at me, "And you look worse then when we were together. It's like you haven't drank in days. Maybe you should go to a mental hospital."

Jag

I growl again and feel Elijah's hand on my shoulder to hold me back. River comes up and stands in between us but leaves Elijah to talk.

"You should leave now," he advises Kol. "This isn't the place or time to be doing any of this."

Emma

I swallow and look down, Kol shaking his head, "I'm good."

Jag

"J, I think you and Emma need some air," Elijah whispers in my ear. "Take Niki with you?"

I snarl at Kol before gently pulling Emma along behind me, leaving Niki to follow.

Emma

I follow, Kol stopping Niki and staring into her eyes, saying something to her in her mind. Niki's eyes flash a quick yellow before she nods slowly and catches up to us. Did he just compel her?

Jag

I stop where I stand, watching, before Elijah orders River to stay put and chases after Niki. He takes her face in his hands and searches her mind.

"What did he tell you to do?" he whispers.

Emma

She blinks, her eyes flashing red again, not able to tell anyone even if she wanted to. Kol walks away casually, smirking.

Jag

Elijah tightens his jaw and growls lowly, storming after Kol with River following him closely. Dad comes up with Mom and asks what's going on, studying Niki.
