The YWS Cup

ENTRY IS NOW CLOSED

Open to all. Schedule will be decided based on number of entrants.

Knock-out championship. Randomly drawn rounds create a match between two users. Some users may receive byes in the early rounds.

A match consists of a week-long reviewing battle. The user with the most reviews at the end of a week wins the match. In the case of a tie, there will be a week-long replay immediately following the end of the match. Because I'm cruel.

The later final rounds will consist of month-long battles just to ramp up the tension.

The winner receives the adoration of his peers and probably an Amazon voucher of some sort (to be decided) and will be known as the YWS Cup Champion until the next Championship. The runner up will receive a slightly worse prize (to be decided).

If nobody enters, I automatically win the YWS Cup. Forever.

I am the judge and ultimate arbiter of any disputes about match scores and winners.

Further rules and explanations of the schedule will be posted once the number of entrants have been established.

Due to the uneven numbers, not everybody will have to compete in the First Round. 9 entrants will get a bye to the Second Round. The remaining 14 entrants will enter the First Knockout Round, meaning 7 matches will be drawn. Hence, the 7 victors will join the 9 who received a bye, to comprise the 16 taking part in the Second Round.

The draw was randomised using paper and a hat.
