Young Writers Society: No Images

I've been thinking lately about ways to really improve the Young Writers Society. And then I realized that images and colors really just get in the way of what should be the focus of this site: text.

So, I'm considering of switching YWS to no colors and almost no images. I've attached a preview below. Let me know what you think!

It has that "the internet just broke" feel to it. I like it!

Oh Nate! This is so cool, I love it. It's so very natural and opaque! You always were so good at moving with the times!

Honestly a mirror site sans color/images wouldn't be bad! I'm currently trying to browse on my work's break computer and it's a serious pain, worse than facebook for some reason. I'm not saying there is a problem with the site, this computer is a growl dinosaur that you would think a business primary working in the tech industry would be able to replace, but they're cheap.

A mobile/lite YWS would be very nice

Based on the input received, how about this?:


It's a pastel green background with orange links and yellow/black text. That way, YWS is still colorful, which I think has been one of the main criticisms.

Anyways, the change will go forward in the next hour.

It's not yet the April 1 ^^ - that was the first thought.
Too much bananas - that came next.

It has a nice touch of never-gonna-load, though and I just love the pictures people are posting to show just how much no is out there ^_^
