Parker
The drive was excruciating, even for someone like Parker who was perfectly comfortable in silence. He could feel the gun pressing against his skin where it rested between his back and the seat. He was grateful for the concealed holster that was part of his costume, but it wasn't really meant to be worn sitting down.
Luckily, they didn't have to go far. Pollux booted them unceremoniously out of the van ten or so miles up the road, tossed a map at Casey, and shouted good luck as he sped away.
"What the heck are we supposed to do now?!" Hannah exclaimed, a pout forming on her full red lips.
Parker surveyed the area. While Pollux had taken them up a dirt road, there was a fairly well-worn trail that picked up not three feet away from where they stood. He suspected Casey's map would show them the route back through the jungle to camp. In the trees he could just make out the glare of the sun on shining metal cameras.
"We start the scene," Parker said, nodding his head toward the most visible camera.
The others looked at one another uneasily, as if they weren't quite sure what they'd signed up for. Parker didn't really understand what the big deal was. They'd all been given clear contracts; they were filming in the freaking Amazon. Maybe he wasn't a real actor, and this was his first movie, but unpleasant conditions seemed to come with the territory.
"Well let's go!" Archie shouted at blessed last, tearing the map from Casey's hands and setting off into the jungle.
Parker pushed himself into a jog. "On your heels, Tyson," he called out. His character was supposed to be a cross country runner; the least jock jock there could be. Not only that, but infamous Clarke McCauley was straight BFFs with Tyson Donahue.
Parker repressed an exhausted sigh. This was going to be a long hike.
