Philip, Son of Zeus

Hot mama, that blonde was gorgeous!

Philip ran his fingers through his hair once, letting it fall casually back into place, as he made his approach. He leaned his elbow on the railing, his chin resting in his hand. "You seem out of place around here."

Her full pink lips turn smile very slightly -- almost a smirk, but he wasn't entirely sure.

"I was convinced you were Aphrodite herself--" At that moment, the ship jerked as if someone yanked at the steering wheel, but it settled itself just as quickly. Still, it was enough to throw the girl into the railing, allowing Philip a perfect opportunity to grab her arm -- smooth to the touch. "What in the world is going on?"

She recovered and shooed him off, composing herself.

"Are you alright?"

Nodding, her small voice sang, "Yes, thank you."

"The name's Philip," he added with a wink. He leaned back onto the railing, though this time looking straight out into the horizon.

Clara

As I hear that son of Zeus flirting with the pretty blonde, I cannot help but laugh a little. Once I notice what I am doing, I stop listening to them and look back to Asher. "Nice to meet you." I say. "I am the daughter of Artemis." I add.

We travel past a small island and I spot a small owl swoop past the ship. I smile and whistle again softly like I did before. It perches on my shoulder and I let it stay there. I glance at Asher ever so often, trying to see how much younger he is that me. He must be at least a year or two younger. Clara, say something. You need to make at least one friend.

"I hope we have smooth sailing the rest of the time we are at sea." I say, trying to start conversation.

Amynta

I silently cursed myself for my flash backs, they sometimes came in at the worse times, no doubt everyone on the ship has noticed the sudden change in direction. I took a deep breath, my father no doubt taking notice for my stupidity, the gods had to be watching to ensure we completed our task. I wondered what my father was thinking exactly, why did he choose me out of all his other sons and daughters, at least with them. They didn't have flashbacks of horrible battles and the memories of losing friends they were once close to, I was battle hardened, gone to war to fight for Greece and the gods. I looked at the Son of Poseidon, his strong arms, tough features, his trident, I made myself look like a fool again.

"No, stop it! your on a dangerous voyage and any member could die at any point in time." I scolded myself mentally.

I shock my head before walking off, still cursing myself mentally, I walk out and onto the deck, looking around I only saw a few of the crew members some guy flirting with another of the female crew members. I make for the front of the ship, I take a seat at the nose of the ship, taking my shield and spear off my back, sensing trouble coming our way soon. I would soon need to raise my spear for battle, to protect the ship for whatever was coming our way, my way. I close my eyes, and then reopen them, looking at the darkening clouds.

"Yep, trouble is on it's way." I said aloud.

Melody-- On deck

"The names Phillip," the son of Zeus winks at me, and I hesitate before answering. My crystal blue eyes travel the sea and I take a deep breath.

"I'm Melody," I flash a weak smile, "Captian here. My mother gave me the honors."

Looking up, I see some black clouds and automatically take a step back from the railing before glancing around at everyone. Everyone but one person, the daughter of Ares-- I'm guessing, is calm. I glance at her once more before running a hand through my hair and deciding to wait until we actually see the trouble to start taking action, "Do you know anything about Helen?" I ask Phillip.

Pelias

The girl stormed away but Peli didn't care. He'd just as soon stand at the helm and take care of the ship as talk to people. Talking to people wasn't exactly his strong point. Wasn't like he did it much. About the biggest conversation Peli had with anyone other than his folks was haggling for fish down at the market.

They were probably sleeping now. You had to get an early start on a farm and it already looked to be getting darker. Or maybe they'd be sitting by the fire; his mother stitching another patchwork quilt from their old clothes, like they didn't have enough already, and his father rubbing the head of their old sheep dog. Almost blind now but the old man always was a sentimental fool. Would sooner round the sheep up himself than accept a pup from the family at number seven who had so many they couldn't feed the group.

Maybe they'd drown them this week. Call it a sacrifice to Poseidon and hope for good luck. What else could the sea ever give to farmers? You couldn't ask for rain or fertile soil or any of the important things. Farmers didn't have much use for a god of the oceans and neither did Peli.

Locking the helm, the youth seated himself on the edge of the ship, just in reach of it, and rested the trident on his knees. He held it in both hands and the weapon began to softly glow as a wave lifted the ship up and sped her on her way.

It was night now but nobody seemed to care. The voices behind him continued to grate on his ears and Pelias wondered if anyone on the ship was asleep. Probably for the best with 'trouble' coming but after a while Peli opened his rucksack, took out a patchwork quilt and wrapped himself in it. He left the sea to her own devices, keeping an eye ahead of them and one hand on the helm. The other held the quilt closed around him, buried in his mother's handiwork.

Kora

I sit in my bunk for a good hour or two after we set out to sea, I walk out among my fellow Demigods to see what is happening on deck. From what I can observe in the very second that I come out, the son of Poseidon whom I remember to be named Peli is at the helm with the Ares girl. Her name escapes me, but she is a beautiful warrior.

I walk out to the rigging and stare over the side of the ship at the calm, graceful state of the sea as we glide through it. Tiny waves breaking against the hull as we crawl slowly along toward Helen.

I turn back to look around again, the daughter of Artemis whom I haven't met yet is talking to another demigod.

"And Phillip is flirting with Mels." I laugh.

I make a brisk stroll towards the helm, and then trip over a rope that is lying on the deck. The single, solitary rope that has just been neglected with reckless abandonment on the entire ship. And I trip right over it, almost pile-driving the daughter of Ares.

I hit the deck with a loud THUD, bashing my head against a crate. She, being ever observant and agile, moves out of the way.

"Watch it!" she says.

I sit up and look at her, the way the light hits her long blond hair is spectacular for a single moment. I'm lost in her eyes, those raging, malicious red eyes.

"I - uh - I - I guess - rope - just - uh - sorry..." she's obviously very angry, she helps me up harshly. I regain my faculties in a moment after a bit of wiggling.

"Helloo there"

She keeps eyeing me with a baleful look in her eye.

"I do not believe that we have had the pleasure of introduction, you are?" I say after a moment, my voice retaining it's natural, level flow even under the menacing stare.

"I am Amynta, Daughter of Ares."

"Well it is a pleasure to have your acquaintance, Amynta. I am Adrian, Son of Hermes. But you can call me Kora..." I say, putting up my hand to shake hers. She acknowledges neither my pleasure to have her acquaintance or my move to shake her hand.

"That is a childish name, and not one that would befit a warrior." she remarks after a moment in a tone that I can only describe as being blood red in color.

"Well, I'll take that into consideration some time." I say, and she walks away muttering something under her breath.

She. is beautiful. But I have a feeling she hates me...
