YWS was listed in a Writer's Digest online article, I believe, and it looked the most promising, so I clicked it. :)

I searched on Google for a writer's website. It took me about two hours to stumble upon YWS (I was looking for a website that would allow me to retain exclusive rights to whatever it is that I decide to post) -and this was the first one.

I think I was googling for a role-playing forum, and I found YWS instead.

I literally typed 'young writers', found this site and a youngwriters.co.uk.
Signed up to both, this was easier to understand. + In the other site I was asked if I'm Arab or not, my name sounded Islamic. They seemed to treat me like an amusing article.... so yeah, YWS :D

It was a very boring summer. For some reason I started to write something about a good friend of mine, (I honestly never enjoyed writing before YWS. Actually, I recall I repeated many times througout my childhood that writing was lame, lol <-- There; the confessions of my dark past.) and then I found myself typing in google searching box: "tips for young writers", and YWS showed up. xD The only reason I joined was because I was actually very excited about the wortless piece I was writing. But oh well... I thank God I did, because YWS has helped me in more ways than anyone can imagine. O.o <3

I found Jash on youtube! Someone covered this song, and it led me to a video I can't find where she mentioned yws members.

Actually, my dad was searching for a writer's website, and let me know when he found YWS and a few others. I chose this one. :D

I think I stumbled upon one of Snoink's help articles back before I knew what a Snoink was!

I was on TYWC (another writing site) and there was a person who spammed the guest book with the link to YWS. So I came here to make a *cough* polite *cough* complaint to the admin and was, to be frank, very annoyed. But once I saw the site and let myself simmer down, I decided no self respecting member of YWS would make such a post and certainly that Nate wouldn't have encouraged it!

So I talked to a few people about it, felt better and then decided I might stick around.

But to be honest, I looked up 'writers websites' in google and found this little chaotic piece of heaven! XD

Interesting that there's a 0 next to Facebook. I guess it's mainly good as a tool for keeping people engaged with the site rather than as a way to bring in new members.

Heather (Rydia) ->> I remember that! David, the site admin, sent me an email blasting me for that. It ticked me off too because more people may have come from TYWC if not for that spammer.

Forget ragebaiting. What about happybaiting. Purposely mentioning things that my friends like to make them happy and joyous. What about that, huh
