S.S Queen’s Holiday Cruise

Katie

I frown, hating this. I place a hand on top of his. "Sorry." I say. I look at my hand and pull it back. "Sorry again." I think for a minute. One of the most fun dates we ever had was going bowling. "Bowling could be fun. Is that okay with you?" I ask

Chance

I study her, flashing a smile when she sets a hand on mine but apologizes. Instead of telling her it's okay, like it is, I nod and smile fully when she suggests bowling, "Sure."

Katie

I smile. "Cool. Are you ready to go?" I ask

Chance

I nod and stand, smiling like she is, "Yeah. You?"

Katie

I stand as well. "Yes, I am." With a smile, I lead him to the bowl alley,

Chance

I smile and follow her there, looking around as I do.

Katie

We finally get there and walk in. No one is there. I know that stuff will not really start until yesterday, so it will be fun just the two of us. We walk over to the counter and get our shoes. I tie them up and go get a purple ball.

Chance

I step inside and feel... warm for some reason, as if this place is supposed to mean something. Instead of dwelling on it, I tie my shoes and stand, letting Katie have her turn first.

Katie

I let my ball roll down and hit the pins. It causes a split and I sigh. Chance has a smirk on his face.

Chance

I smile when she makes a split with the pins, though it probably came off as more of a smirk. Picking up a blue ball, I wait for her to finish her round.

Katie

I hit one of the two pins and then go sit down.

Chance

I wait for the pins to reset before rolling the bowling ball down the lane, it hitting the gutter at the last second.

Katie

I smile and try not to laugh.

Chance

Smiling, I shake my head at my luck and sit back down, looking at Katie for her turn.

Katie

I stand back up. As I walk up there, I turn back to him. "I am going to good this time." I say. I again let the ball roll and it only knocks over one pin. He lets out a little laugh. "Hey I did better than you." I say.

"By one pin." He says.

I laugh and go up to bowl again. I smile as I knock the rest down.
