I look back at her, nodding towards the dancefloor, "Might I have this dance?"

Katie

I nod and he walks me out onto the dance floor. I wrap my arms around him and smile.

Chance

I wrap my arms back around her and keep my smile.

Katie

With his arms around my waist and mine around his neck, we dance to the music.

Chance

I rest my forehead against hers and close my eyes, swaying to the music as she does.

Katie

I smile and close my eyes as well. I sigh and listen to the music. A new song comes on and my smile grows wider once I recognize it. It is 1000 Years and this is our song. We shared our first kiss as we listened to this. It was at our senior prom and such a great day.

Chance

My heart aches at the new song, as if remembering something full of warmth that my mind can't catch up with.

Katie

My heart flutters and I quietly sing along.

Chance

I smile wider and kiss her cheek when she starts singing, everything appearing perfect.

Katie

He kisses my cheek and I smile. This song had so much meaning to me. It was true, I would love him forever.

Chance

My mind processes the lyrics and keep her close.

Katie

"You know this is our song." I say.

Chance

I look at her before closing my eyes again, "It sounded familiar... I couldn't place it though. It is? Tell me about it."

Katie

"Well it was our senior prom and we have been dating for one six months. We were slow dancing and gazing into each others eyes. When the second verse came on, you kisses me for the first time." I say.

Chance

I smile, "I can't believe it took me six months to get the courage to kiss you."
