Jace

I study her, "Been what?"

Rayah

"A vampire for a day," I answer, standing and walking out to the patio.

Jace

I watch her before following her and leaning against the doorway, "You know that I don't always react to things right away. I have a... delayed reaction system."

Rayah

I just shake my head and go into the mini cabana, zipping it up.

Jace

I watch her, wondering how to stop this tension.

Rayah

I sigh and sit on one of the couches.

Jace

I hesitate before going to sit beside her.

Rayah

I glance at him, sighing.

Jace

I study her, hesitating before taking her hand, "I'm sorry."

Rayah

I study him, nodding.

Jace

That's it? She's not going to say anything back? I nod back and look down.

Rayah

I look over at the ocean, sighing.

Jace

I run a hand through my hair and sit back, taking a deep breath.

Rayah

I close my eyes for a second.

Jace

I look at her, "Why won't you talk to me, Ray?"
