I glance back at him, "My eyes still red."

Jace

I nod and swallow, "Drink, Ray. We're both unstable right now."

Rayah

I tilt my neck back, "You first. You need it more than I do."

Jace

I don't argue, closing my eyes as I sink my fangs into her neck. I take a mouthful or two before pulling back.

Rayah

I close my eyes, don't understanding how it feels good - thinking it should hurt- , before doing the same to him and letting the puncture marks heal.

Jace

I hold her close afterwards, keeping my eyes closed, "How are we going to tell them?"

Rayah

I keep my face in his neck, eyes closed, "I don't know."

Jace

I swallow, "Nic... he had a bad experience with them before Hermes claimed him. What if..." What if my brother ends up afraid of me?

Rayah

I kiss his neck, "don't think that way. He's your brother, Jae."

Jace

I keep my eyes closed and swallow again. But I'm the same monster that ripped his other brother away from him. I'm the same one who killed his mother after she brought him here...

Rayah

I sigh, "I shouldn't have changed you."

Jace

I look at her, "Why?"

Rayah

"Your freaking out about what you are now," I look at him.

Jace

I study her, "And you didn't, when you were first changed? Why don't I get one moment to flip out like you were? How is that?"

Rayah

I swallow, pulling away from him, "But you've been it."
