Jace

Everything is in slow motion and nearly mute, swallowing and continuing to look at the blood on my hands.

Rayah

I don't let him look at his hands anymore and break out crying, taking his face in my hands, "Jae?"

Jace

I look at her, my mouth all of a sudden dry, and find it hard to swallow, "R-Rayah..."

Rayah

I try to heal him with my powers, it not working. I take my face in my hands and freak out, Jackie running in, "I heard a gunsh--" She sees Jace and swears, running to him.

Jace

Nic comes running in after his wife and shakes his head, staying in the doorway, "No. Gods no. Not Jae..."

I keep my eyes on Rayah, my vision hazing.

Rayah

I look Jace in his eyes as he slowly fades, "No, Jae, you can't--" I stay by his side, Jackie trying to stop the bleeding. I bring a hand to the side of his face and choke a little, trying to be strong.

Jace

Nic comes to my other side and keeps me sitting up, leaning me against him. He tries to help Jackie, keeping himself strong as well. I swallow and close my eyes a little, "L-love you."

Rayah

I freeze, my heart aching in an unbelievable way. I keep him close, "N-No..." I choke, "L-Love you too. Always will," I tell him, not letting go of him.

Jace

My eyes close all the way and I swallow again, my breathing slowing.

Is it sad that I'm crying right now? Lol.

Rayah

I sniffle and don't know what to do, looking at Nic and Jackie to leave us alone.

Jace

Nic hesitates before standing and taking Jackie out of the room, leaving me with Rayah.

Rayah

I look back at Jace, kissing his forehead, "I love you."

Jace

I reach a hand for her, swallowing, and try to say it back before everything fades.

I take his hand and break into crying again, burying my face in his neck.
