Jace

I wrap my arms around her and sigh, kissing the top of her head.

Rayah

I close my eyes and slowly fall asleep.

Jace

Rayah falls asleep and I flash a smile, carrying her up to our room and tucking her in without waking her.

Rayah

I stirr in my sleep, and wrap my arms around a pillow.

Jace

I kiss her forehead and head down to the kids, checking in on them.

Rayah

I yawn in my sleep, swallowing when I feel someone else in the room.

Jace

I feel the chill again and rub the back of my neck, swallowing and closing my eyes to calm down. Once I'm okay, I stay and head back upstairs.

Rayah

I stir again and swallow, burying my face in a pillow.

Jace

The chill gets worse and I have to stop halfway up the stairs, closing my eyes and setting a hand over the back of my neck.

Rayah

Someone touches my arm and I freeze, not opening my eyes and not moving.

Jace

A knot twists in my stomach and I force myself to go numb, bolting up the stairs and into my room.

Rayah

The person dissapears just as Jace enters the room and I swallow, shaking.

Jace

Rayah's shaking when I enter. I bolt to her side and find the room bare beyond her, "What happened, baby?"

Rayah

I feel where the man touched me, glancing at it to find a tattoo type thing, "J-Jae, he...He touched me."

Jace

I run my thumb over the mark, my heart pounding in my ears, before looking back at her, "Did you see who it was, what he looked like?"
