Well, there's only one evil witch alive, so they'll only be one good witch. Plus, there wasn't another good witch in either the movie or the book, and I'm trying to keep the characters the same as in the book, just distorted. Good idea though.

That makes sense... On a side note, are we starting as soon as we get all the mains or are we waiting for Ozians/monkeys/etc?

Yeah, when do you want us to start?

We'll wait for a few Ozians, flying monkeys and munchkins, but if no one fills up the slots anytimes soon then we'll probably just go ahead and start it. I want the minor characters mainly just for perspective and insight into how this is affecting everyone, not just the major players.

Just waiting for someone to play Glinda now. Anyone up for two characters? If not, I can play her. Let's get this started!

If nobody else does in the next hour or so, I'll put up a profile for Glinda. :)

Dorthy Gale

Buzz buzz goes my pager as I am practicing my knife throwing in my training room, hitting the mark perfectly even with the distraction. I am shocked to see that it is the Wizard himself, who appears on the holo-image, recorded, of course, but there nonetheless. This must be important.

"Dorthy," he starts, "I am pleased to inform you that you have been assigned your first mission as an assassin of Oz. Meet me tomorrow at six o'clock sharp to recieve your assignment. Bring all weapons and gear, you will start your assignment then. Good day." And the holo-image disappeared.

Stunned and awed, I stand there for what seems like an eternity, not moving at all. Gradually, I begin to retain consious thought, and soon, despite my resolve, turn giddy and joyful, feeling self-importance swallow me. It must be a very important mission, I think, for the Wizard to call on me personally. I pack up my bag, filled to the brim with knives and other various assorted weapons, with only one change of clothing to make room for more weapons. I am done in leass than ten minutes, and wish that I could go right now.

I have desperately wanted an assignment since the day I graduated from Oz academy, two weeks ago. Now that day is finally here. Now I can really prove myself.

Name: Dr. G. Linda Souther

Age: 432 (72 in Witch years)

Alliance: Oz

Position: President of Oz Academy; Vice Chancellor of OzU; “Souther the Good Witch”

Personality: A tough egg: a sharp, cynical, weathered old lady, with a grand sense of humour buried under all of it. She doesn’t approve of inefficiency, wilful ignorance, deceit, stupidity, weakness, or young people. At first she comes off as just a cranky old lady, but if you can get on her good side you realise she’s a cool cranky old lady. Doesn’t miss a thing; knows how to turn every person and every situation to advantage.

Physical appearance: She dies her grey hair red, and her keen dark eyes and hawk nose make for a striking appearance. She wears practical black outfits and carries around a cane with a heavy silver star-shaped knob on the top; she uses it to whack things and to lean on when she wants to look feeble. It’s also her wand. Sometimes she wears a tall, conical, silver-spangled hat (her Official Hat of Chancery). Tall, straight-backed, imposing.

Magical abilities: Transportation via a large bubble of both herself and other objects; levitation; fuzzy foresight. Probably a whole host of others but she uses magic very sparingly.

History: Dr Souther’s father was a Wizard; her mother was a witch. They taught her how to fend for herself in a tough world; she’s always been a prickly smartmouth. She became a renowned assassin even before she went to school, which she didn’t do until she was in her one hundred and eighties. She got every degree possible by the time she was two hundred and twenty, and obtained the Vice Chancellorship of the University and the Presidency of the Academy soon thereafter, duties which she’s been faithfully discharging for two hundred years under a dozen or so rulers. No matter what happened around her or to the land, she always maintains order and control of herself. Hasn’t historically listened to the ruler; doesn’t much care for the Wizard, but acknowledges that he’s fairly good at his job. She’s his chief advisor since she’s good at gauging situations and keeping her ear to the ground.

Up for love?: Probably not

Other: This is a hasty profile; I’ll probably change it some later. No one knows her first name.

King Chloropolis

I was sitting in my office looking at the clock. The second hand ticked closer to its destination.
Tick...tick...tick.
I heard the nervous scuffles and coughs usually associated with waiting to be called outside my office. The clock struck six.
I nervously looked over at my adviser, Dr. North, before clearing my throat and calling out "Come in!" The ancient green door creaked open and four figures stepped in, each vastly different from the others. One was a very big metal figure, wielding a large, heavy-looking broadsword; the next was a brown-haired young woman wearing a black nylon tracksuit and carrying an innocent looking basket; next came a tall man in brown sweats, seeming to be carrying no weapons; and finally, there came a very long, very thin man wearing battered, ragged clothing in the Munchkin style.
I again cleared my throat before beginning on my previously prepared speech. "You may be wondering why I called you here today." Sure, it's cliched, but I got my point across. "I try not to take such drastic measures, but I'm sure that, once you understand what type of situation we are facing at the moment, we can all agree that this enemy needs more than simple persuasion. Have you all heard of a person named Agatha West?"
I looked around. I was greeted with expressions of affirmation, confusion, and horror; some of which coming from the same individual.
The girl in the track suit, whom I knew to be Dorothea Gale, spoke out. "Of course we've heard of her," she said. "She and her sister have been terrorizing the countryside for a while now."
"Ah, yes, of course, of course, of course, of course," I said quickly. "Well, recently, her attacks on the country of Oz have gone from small, easily repaired vandalisms, such as frightening a flock of sheep or destroying a fence, to larger and more destructive acts. There have been multiple reports of kidnappings, and" —I shuddered— "at least two murders have been discovered in the past three months. At first, my council and I believed that these were separate attacks by separate individuals, but they all linked together and matched up, and two days ago I received this."
I held out my cell phone and pressed a button. The holo-image of one Agatha Cronwell West buzzed into action. She smiled wickedly. "Good afternoon," it said. "I have taken the liberty of capturing Mr. J. Winkin, governor of the land of Winkie." The image buzzed and fizzled out before changing to an image of the aforementioned J. Winkin, a thin, large-nosed man wearing a yellow suit. He was tied to a chair with a gag in his mouth. The image fuzzed and went out again, revealing again the form of Ms. West. "I have a few requests. If you comply with these, I may not kill your governor. I am sending these as an attachment to this message." the image fizzled and completely went out.
There was a pause.
I must have looked slightly worried as I began to speak again. "She did, as it happens, send her short list of requests." I reached down into my desk and pulled out a large box. I opened the box to reveal a large, thick stack of paper. I took of the top sheet and began to read.
"Volume One.
"1. Complete control of the land of Oz." I then gestured to the stack of paper. "The rest of these are blank. I wasn't going to take this seriously, but then I received a supplementary message in the form of an arrow that came through my window yesterday morning and almost hit me." I again reached into my desk and pulled out the long, black arrow with green feathers at one end. "Shortly after the arrow, I received this message." I again held out the cell phone and pressed another button. The holo-image flickered back up, and the image of Agatha West came back on and said, "That was in case you didn't take my previous message seriously."

Agatha West

I was getting tired of being overlooked. I had power, now I wanted control, control of Oz. I had taken the governor of thr land of Winkie captive to get the eizard's attention. He wasn't getting the point even after I sent him multiple messages. So Idecided to kill the guy. I gave hima potion and sucked the life force right out of him, making me feel refreshed. I had recorded the whole thing and just sent it to the wizard, warning him that Oz woild go through hell and back if my demands were not met. I decide to spy on him through my crystal ball. He plans to have me assassinated, hes giving the mission now. He has watched tue governer die, as have his assassins. I focus on a young girl. I hear him call her Dorothy. Dorothy Gale is her name. I've heard of her. I'm going to turn her. Make her mine. She will either join me or be my prisoner. I just have to gether here. As they discuss strategies, I focus my mind on hers, allowing me to control it from here. "Why don't we just go now. Attack her. We're all prepared and have the element of surprisr." i will her to say. After debating some, her comrades agree, but I don't givr up control yet. I can feel her mind fighting against mine, trying to win control of itself, she's aware what's going on. She can see it and hear it and feel it. She just has no control of herself, that'z me. I don't give control back over to her until they bust in and I'm standing in front of them. Face to face with my prey.

Hey, JourneyGirl. You're post was a little fast-paced. Do you think you could change it? Plus, the whole point is to save the mayor, or at least, right now it is, so you may not want to kill the mayor just yet. If you could please edit it, that would be great.
