Jackie

I sigh and scoop Rayah up, her body lifeless, "I uh, made the baby grow instead of dissapear. I didn't mean to. Aphrodite appeared with them and told me to take them to Jace."

Nic

Jace looks up, pale, and swallows before glancing back down at the babies. I just nod, a little weirded out.

"Okay..." I say, "I don't know--"

Jace just walks back inside and sits in the living room with the babies, making me forget what I was saying.

Jackie

I nod, glancing down at Rayah before moving some hair from her forehead, "And I don't know what happened with her."

Nic

I crouch before the two and check Rayah's vitals, nodding, "Okay... Well, let's get her inside. Whatever happened, she needs rest."

Jackie

I nod and set her on the couch, "Will she wake?"

Nic

Jace moves to give Rayah room, fixated on the two bundles in his arms still. I shrug and close the front door, hesitating before locking it, "Hopefully.... probably. If she hasn't by nightfall, maybe we should go find her mother...or someone who could help."

Jackie

I nod and look at Jace, "What are you gonna name them?"

Jace

I can barely breathe, watching the two bodies in my arms do it on their own. Every thought I'd had before, every doubt, flies out the window with the ability to fully comprehend what's going on. I'm a father, and I can't believe it.

Jackie asks something and I glance up, taking a few more moments than usual to process the question. As I'm about to respond, something whispers in my ear and sends a shiver down my spine.

"Logan and Riley," I find myself saying, looking at Rayah again, "Somehow... I know that."

Jackie

I nod, "Pretty names."

Rayah stirs before wrapping her arms around her stomach, moaning. Thank god...

Jace

I keep my eyes locked on Rayah, Nic coming to sit behind me on the chair and glancing at the babies as I do.

Jackie

I look back at Jace and sigh, flashing a smile. Rayah slowly opens her eyes but doesn't blink, glancing around.

Jace

Nic scoops one of the babies from my arms and lets me stand, walking to Rayah. I drop to my knees at her side and feel him come up behind me, waiting for her to look at the bundles we're holding without speaking.

Rayah

My eyes land on the bundles and a weak smile grows on my face, "Who...who's are they?"

Jace

I swallow before flashing a smile, "Yours... ours."

Rayah

I study him before flashing a smile again, taking one child from Nic.
