Rayah

I swallow, "It's numb...and I can't move it even if I tried."

Jace

Nic nods before tending to it, setting the stuff aside and pulling out pain killers from god-knows-when.

"What are those from?" I ask.

He flashes a smile, "I think... I think from the time I nearly broke my neck. I don't remember buying them though. So... they might be borrowed."

He glances at Rayah.

"You want some... for when it's, you know, not so numb?"

Rayah

I nod and hold my hand out, "Sure."

Jace

Nic takes two pills from the bottle and hands them over, pulling a water bottle from somewhere and giving it to her as well.

Rayah

I down them and take a deep breath, yawning.

Jace

I shift the babies in my arms and sit back against the couch, sighing.

Rayah

My eyes land on the babies and I take one from Jace, holding her with both arms and not caring if it hurts later.

Jace

I flash a smile at Rayah and sigh, shifting Logan in my arms.

Rayah

I look at Jackie and sigh. "you trying out for the swim team?"

She shrugs, "Maybe. You?"

"Hell yes," I nod.

Jace

I glance up at them before Nic moves to my side and leans against the couch, sighing.

"You doing any sports this year?" he asks in a whisper.

I shrug, "Track maybe. I don't really know if I'll have the time anymore though..."

"Oh yeah..." he responds, "Well, I'm doing lacrosse. I get to hurt people."

Rayah

I smile and Jackie thinks, "Maybe cheer. I need extra credit for college."

I nod slowly, "I was thinking of that too. But my dad wants me to do the swimming."

She shrugs, "Yeah..."

Jace

"I need a lot of stuff for college," Nic mutters to himself.

"Yeah," I flash a smile, "Like community service hours."

He glares at me.

Rayah

Jackie laughs a little and I look at Nic, "Where are you planning to go?"

Jace

Nic looks at Jackie and Rayah, sighing.

"I'd like to get into Harvard.. for business and stuff," he says, "But I doubt that. So I want to go to Boston."

Oh gods... Don't start singing the--

He starts humming the song attached to it and I facepalm myself.

Rayah

Jackie nods slowly and I bite my lip, "I got accepted into FSU..." I look down at my baby girl, "But that's not so important."

Jackie studies me and I glance up at her, "What?"

"You got accepted?" She asks.

I nod, "Yes."
