I couldn't open my eyes, the lids too heavy to lift. It was morning already. Camp. Had to get out of bed.

But I didn't want to.

Tossing around some more, I tried to get comfortable. My alarm went off, the fifth time this morning, and I slammed my hand on my phone. It went silent. All I heard was the sound of birds chirping their beautiful melody.

Opening my eyes, I looked at the phone. Six AM. Time for my morning run. I hopped out of bed, trying to be quiet. I couldn't wake the other campers.

-----
Just five minutes later I was ready. Heading out the door, I slid my headphones on and ran into the forest around us, engrossed in the green of the trees. It was warm, great weather to exercise.

I watch Gemini take down the Ares kids, and for once I think that what she plans us to do might not be so hard. Arms crossed, leaned against the exit, I wait for her to finish and walk towards me, whistling when she does.

""Not bad. Even the Ares are no match for you," I say.

"These were new comers, the real challenge will be the senior counselors of the twelve cabins. And even then, I'll have plans to deal with each of them, one by one," she says back, walking past me.

I don't hesitate to turn and catch up, allowing my hands to dangle at my side. My eyes scan over the camp and I begin to doubt what we're doing. Shaking my head, I assure myself I'm in the right and that I have to do this in order to avenge my mother and secure my brother's safety... my safety. Every step until then is just a stone on the path it takes to get there.

Danielle makes the final move and steals my king. Frowning, I stand and skip off the porch of the Big House, leaving her to pick up. I smile to myself as I get away, looking for no one in particular as I skip throughout camp. Coming across the Athena cabin, I pause and head inside for a moment.

I look over everything before quickly realizing how boring it is. The stack of books to the side of my bed are worn with the various times I've flipped through them. The maps on the tables and other gadgets my older half-siblings use are off-limits to me, though I don't quite understand why. With a sigh, I pout and head back outside.

Just as I start chasing a wind nymph, I run straight into one of the other campers and fall on my rear end. Looking up, I find the daughter of Zeus before me and one of the Apollo campers helping her up. I say nothing and don't move, getting the feeling that, unlike everyone else is, I don't have to be afraid of her.

I walk back to the camp, gulping down the bottle of water I had in my hand. The camp was alive, people walking around from activity to activity. It was probably around nine AM.

Walking into my cabin, I jumped into the shower, washing off all the sweat. Five minutes passed and I was headed out the door to my first activity: Archery.

I skipped my way to the grounds and saw a few people gather around. The teacher stood at the center of the circle we made around him.

"Welcome to Camp Half-Blood everybody!" he smiled. "Now," he clapped. "Let's start the lesson,"

There were bows and arrows lined on a table. The teacher stared to call our names on by one and handed us the weapons.

"Everyone got one?" he asked.

We all nodded and he smiled.

"Alright. Hello everyone. Welcome to Archery! My name is George Dilero, you can call me Mr. Dilero or just George."

I started to admire the bow I got. It was made of maple wood, that I knew, and had a small heart which had a small golden speck in the center of it indented into the bow at the tip. Everyone's bow is made for them. To differ them, each had a symbol and felt their owner. It knew who was the owner of the bow. They took our bows back every year for safety purposes.

"We are going to start then. Everyone raise their bows and try them out. It needs to get used to you again. Oh, wait. Who's new here?"

The crowd looked at each other. Everyone looked familiar.

"Alright good. There are some targets right there." Mr. Dilero pointed behind him. "Have fun," he smiled, running out of our way.

What can I say, surprised? Afraid? Scared? Ok those two were one in the same but, what are the odds, that someone survived, the horrible nightmares I have the ones that scar my mind, or have me crying when I wake in the morning. But this I just couldn't believe how? How did Alexi survive? I stand there stunned at the sight, Alexi alive?

"Gem, you alright?" I hear Jason.

He waves a hand in front of me and I snap back to reality, he looks to see what I'm stunned at, Alexi, but he still seems confused, like he doesn't know what I was thinking, of course he doesn't. I walk forward slowly, but surely realizing, what I was seeing before me was no illusion, no fantasy, everything was real. I've only been at this camp for a day, no not even, a few hours. And I find something I can't believe.

"Alexi, is that you?" I ask in a far to soft to be me voice.

"What?" Jason asks behind me.

I take Alexi into my arms, I could feel emotions come up and around me, tears threatening to burst out. I could barely contain myself, contain the emotions that were weilding up inside of me, I could burst out crying any moment.

"S-sis?" Alexi asks almost in a daze.

"You remember me, your sister." I ask.

I look into her eyes, her eyes filled with confusion, I could tell she had vague memories of me, Alexi was the one I would protect no matter what, and now that I find out she is a demigod, like me, that she survived the blast that killed my step father, and mother and brother.

"What, whoa, wait Gem this is your sister?" Jason asked.

"Jason, this is Alexi, my sister." I said quietly.

Gemini has a sister? I don't believe it, and I don't quite understand how she's a demigod as well; but watching Gemini get close to someone like that has to confirm it.

"How?" I ask.

She had never told me her story, nor had I ever asked her for it, but I couldn't help but do so now.

````
Alexi
She takes me in her arms and hugs me, and I begin to remember things that occurred before the fire. Confused, I look back at her as she looks at me. Her friend asks if I'm her sister, calling her by the name Gem, and she confirms it.
"Where were you?" I ask, still confused. "Are you like me? I thought that didn't work... Who is that guy? What can you do? How long have you been here?"
I stop, taking a deep breath, and wait for her response.
I try to think of weather it'd be proper to tell Alexi what happened, I look and see a silver owl connected to a gold chain, she's the daughter of Athena? That makes a whole lot of sense given how smart she was, probably the last memory she has of me was just before I left for school on that day, the day the house blew up. I take a deep breath, and ready to tell Alexi the truth on what happened that day.
"Alexi, our mother, father, and brother were killed that day, me and you were the only ones to survive the blast. I was the intended target of that explosion, Zeus had tried to kill me back then. But instead I survive, we survived, at the cost of our families lives. Alexi, more than ever do I need you, to help me avenge our family, and set things right, to make mom and dad happy in the after life." I said.
I knew Jason was listening, I had my hands on Alexi's shoulders, letting her take what I said in, I wait a few seconds, scanning the area for anyone listening in as I talked.
"Mom and dad are dead? Why, why were you intended to be killed?" Alexi questioned.
"Alexi listen, me and my friend Jason are connected to ancient legend called The Juggernaut Legend, where every three millennium twelve demigods are born much stronger than there siblings, there the incarnations of the very evil of the gods. To oppose and defeat them. Zeus feared me, he knew eventually I would come after him. So he did what he could to kill me, only to fail repeatedly." I said.
What?
I study Sis, not sure what to think or believe. The boy behind her shifts nervously on his feet, anxiously wanting his answer to be answered as well, but stays silent. Fear clouds in his eyes around her, along with something else I don't understand.
Looking back at my cabin, I purse my lips and wonder what the right move is in this situation.
"If helping you will make Mom and Dad happy..." I agree, looking at her. "But I have a lot of friends here. We don't have to leave, do we?"
I wake up in my bed, late. I didn't mind, and no one would either. They all knew about my quick temper. They knew if they got on his bad side, he would torture them. Even if they were they the camp counselors. I was powerful, and really useful for Gemini.
I yawned, and stood up stretching, looking at my empty cabin. I smiled. I liked solitude. It made me happy. I was about to step outside, when an emptiness came to me. I smiled. I knelt down, and grabbed my sword off my nightstand, and placed it on my back.
As I left my cabin, I saw Gemini, Jason, and a girl instantly. I walked over to them, smiling.
Capture the flag and I was team captain. My heart sped up at that. I was a good leader, but I was not taken very seriously. Being easy going has its perks and flaws. It was time to stand up, because I wanted my team to win. I look down the line of people I had to choose. Gemini stood five feet to my left, looking at everyone as well. I was the captain of the red team and I got to pick first pick. I choose Jason first. He comes and stands next to me and we then go back and forth choosing.
When we finally get done, I am pleased to say that my team members are James, Violet, Jason, Serenity, Danielle and Silvana. They are strong and I think we have this in the bag. The two teams separate and we begin to talk about the plan. “Okay everyone, I have something in mind. I want to put the flag on a tree branch. I want to be stationed in it, hidden as well. If someone comes near the flag, they will be taken down. I also want James to be some where in that area to attack on the ground.” I say, making sure their attention is on me. “You guys will be making sure we they do not come near the flag.” I say, pointing at Danielle and Violet. “I want Jason and Serenity to go after their flag.” I say. “Is that okay with everyone?” I ask.
Turns out I was on the Blue team.
Normally I'd be fine with that, but our team leader was Gemini. I didn't really have a problem with her, it's just that our parents were the best of friends. They've had their fair share of quarrels.
And of course she kind of scared me. There was just something different, something not right about her. But I would never say either of those things out loud.
I found myself subconsciously playing around with the water next to me, forming different types of weapons and objects.
It was a bad habit of mine, but the only thing I could think of doing while waiting for my instructions from Gemini.
I glance at the other team, at Gemini more specifically. My half-sibling had chosen me before she could, leaving me separate. Inside, I wrestle with the turmoil and fear that comes from not knowing what to do without her guidance. More importantly, I wrestle with the idea of having to be against her.
Shuddering at the thought, I focus on what Cami is saying and listen to what she has planned.
“Okay everyone, I have something in mind. I want to put the flag on a tree branch. I want to be stationed in it, hidden as well. If someone comes near the flag, they will be taken down. I also want James to be some where in that area to attack on the ground. You guys will be making sure we they do not come near the flag," she says, pointing at Danielle and Violet. “I want Jason and Serenity to go after their flag. Is that okay with everyone?”
Me? On the offense? Against Gem?
My eyes wander back to the daughter of Zeus as she barks orders, and I feel them widen at the thought. My throat tightens slightly and I force myself to swallow.
She's gonna kill me.
I smile when I get picked on Sis' team. Standing beside her, I cross my arms defensively and listen for orders. I scan over my teammates and begin to think we've got this in the bag. Strategy begins to build in my mind, but I suppress it in order to follow through with Sis' ideas.
"So what's the plan?" I ask, looking up at her.
I stood beside Gemini, looking down at my blue color shirt. How I hated the color blue, but it didn't matter. I looked across at Jason, who was wearing the red shirt. This was fun.
"Hey Gem, are we going straight at them?" I whispered, a smile creeping into my face. Of course we were, I already knew the answer. I nearly chuckled, but held it in.
"I guess I'll be the distraction, then," I said to Cami. That was perfect--Ares were the idiots who ran straight at the enemy, right? My cabin and I would keep the blue team occupied, so Jason and Serenity could hunt for the flag without being bothered.
As Cami continued organizing the team, I got the attention of my cabin mates. "Suit up, guys," I said. "Swords and spears today."
I continued to listen to Cami as I tightened my leather vest. She wanted a two-layered defense system--Danielle and Violet guarding the flag from attack, and her and James hidden in the trees as a last resort. It was a smart plan, considering how many of us we were planning to send over to the blue team's side. I was glad she'd put Jason on offense--he knew Gemini better than anyone else here. Maybe he knew some of her strategies, too...
I stood next to the team I was assigned to, Blue. The shirt clung to my sweaty body. I just finished archery a minute before capture the flag.
Gemini, our team leader, was telling us what our plan was. I wasn't really focusing 'cause a guy on the red team caught my attention. I had no idea who he was but I couldn't stop looking.
"Alright, are we all ready?" Gemini asked.
Shoot. All I did is nod and smile, waiting for the start of the game.
"The game will start soon, let's get our weapons." she smiled.
All of us grabbed our suits and slipped into them. We were handed our weapons. It looked like it was time to capture that flag.
To be honest, I'm not the best at these things... I failed pretty much every year at this thing. But, my dad taught me once or twice to play flag football, you know, before I found out that hey, I'm Aphrodite's daughter! It still shocks me to this day. Maybe it's the same.
"So..." I went up to one of the girls, I think her name is Alexi. "Even though we've played this year after year... I don't think I'm very good."
"Just try your best." she smiled.
Looking at the opposing team, I saw how ready they were. It was like the only thing in their way was... well, nothing. They could grab that flag any time they could.
Of course I was afraid. Every year I was the slow, suckish one. I've been practicing though. Maybe it won't be that bad.
"You getting pale. You're gonna be okay?" someone said I'm pretty sure to me.
"Yeah, of course." I replied blindly.
"You getting pale. You're gonna be okay?" I said to the Aphrodite girl.
"Yeah, of course." She replied, not even bothering to look at me.
So much for being a son of one of the big three.
I pat her shoulder and walked past her, "Just run around and look busy, as long as you don't stand there doing nothing, no one's gonna say you didn't try."
I walked past our flag and behind a few bushes, keeping my eyes on pool of water nearby. I was ready. I was average sword fighter, but I was no mach against the Ares kids. I'd be most useful guarding the flag.
I cracked my knuckles and shifted some water into the form of a three foot long sword, which I held firmly in my hands. Let's do this.
