Hey, everybody!

I'm having trouble with my novel again and I partly think this is due to the fact that I've been writing this draft for over a year now. I'm also struggling to even write, so I thought about making an extreme writing challenge to help me finish this draft... and I wondered whether anyone would like to join me on a quest to get closer to the end of a task.

The idea of it is to challenge yourself to reach a difficult goal in two weeks time in order to get closer to finishing that novel. (Of course, the goal has to be somewhat reachable xD) For example, I'm setting myself a goal to write half a chapter to a chapter a day for two weeks -- i.e. reach chapter 21 at least in two weeks time.

If you'd like to join me on this mad adventure, do comment below with your own goal you'd like to reach! :D It doesn't have to be as mad as mine -- I'm just being cruel to myself. The challenge will begin on Friday the 7th of September at 8 PM GMT. (9PM in Britain and Ireland due to daylight savings).

As a reward for winning, you'll receive the highly desired prize of bragging rights! If you "lose", you still win for trying, but as for myself.... I might have to go on a (I'm sure Snoink will like this option) Extreme Reviewing Spree - or perhaps some other form of punishment. :P

Hope to see you join the challenge! :D

I'll think about it! Although I've already set myself a two week challenge, which ends a week after yours begins! I'll see where I get to by Friday and if I surpass my goal I might think up another one :)

Does this mean you will war with me? = D

I will aim to have part one of my current serialisation finished by friday, and then see if I can get to part five during your two week challenge?

Current completion so far is 5/100, I'll try to reach 20/100 by Friday. I'll be posting this one online as I write, so that should be fun! *Quakes in fear*

YES! I am definitely in. I started NaNo a year ago and still haven't written past the third chapter in my first draft. (X.X) So I'll try to get through act two in two weeks. Or at least halfway done...maybe that will inspire me to finish the book. Heh.
Anyways, great idea

Yes! I need something like this.

Mine would be to crank out at least 1000 words a weekday and 2000 a weekend. I need to get closer to finishing the first draft of my novel. Then editing it. >.>

Woah Innergy. Six hours per day?

I wouldn't recommend it. Hard writing for six hours every day will destroy your passion and your muse.
