I stay where I am, Awen leaned against me. She yawns and cuddles into my torso, falling back to sleep with her arms clutching her bear. I sigh and look up at the two before glancing back at Seth.

"You two have been through a lot then, huh?" I ask, studying him.
I'm never what I like
I'm double sided
And I just can't hide
I kind of like it
When I make you cry
'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up

Seth-

" Yeah we did go through a lot, but we don't let it go to our heads and we don't like to talk about it but since we can trust you now I guess we can tell you, when this war first started we lost our parents in a bookstore they just came in, took the children, and killed everyone else, we escaped as you can see and now....we're wanted. "

Deep in the woods somewhere near the city

" I didn't need for you to come and say that, the past is the past and I'm over it. "

" You don't need to act like everything is fine, it's fine that you had a girlfriend and I'm sorry that she is gone but I can't help you I'm not her, I'm me and what I do , I don't regret. "

" Fine get yourself killed just don't come crying to me when it happens. "

He walks away with Jaycee following not knowing what the plan was.

They finally got there and Alex said strait up.

" Well you wanted to go and you wanted to do stuff, so what's your plan, chief? "

We get the food and I hold half of it, Alex holding the other, and we drop it before they're feet once we get it. Sighing, I only take one thing, leaving the rest for the others.
All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie-dust!

They bring back the food and I wake Awen, taking only one share of everything and splitting it with her. We eat in silence, watching the others.

Princess Hattie

I didn't know how long it's been since I'd last saw another human. I didn't know where I was anymore. I looked around. I saw the smoldering ashes of my beloved city, and nothing else. I heard distant moaning, but I already knew they were long past saving. I pushed my way through rubble and half-forgotten memories toward the east, following the footprints.

Hours pass, maybe a day. My pixie cut was damp from the sweat, but I carried on. This is ridiculous, I think to myself. I'm royalty. The still-small part of me that was never influenced by wealth or fame spoke up in the back of my mind, telling me to suck it up and keep a hand on my throwing knives. I was a princess, sure. But I was no ordinary princess. In the distance, I heard voices. I began to run.
