"Kyana," I repeat, calming down quickly. The girl was so annoying at times... curse her split personality disorder. If she didn't calm down, one day Gray will be introduced to my Soul Stealer.

"Have a seat," I said, motioning Kyana to the high-backed ancient chair that faced my own. Andy stood beside her, meekly. "Fancy some red wine? I didn't think so." Chuckling softly, I poured myself a glass of red wine and leaned back in my seat, one leg draped casually over the armrest. In the shelter of my studio, whatever loud and annoying music my servants played was silenced. Nox Arcana played in the background, contributing to the feel I strove so hard to achieve.

"How about a game of chess?" I proposed. "Keep your mind sharp."

Kyana gulped, no doubt thinking about what lay in store for her if she lost. I had no intention of carrying out the veiled threat, of course. She was a loyal and therefore valuable minion. I flicked my free hand, and with a gust of chilly wind, the semi-transparent chess pieces rattled into their positions.

"This is how things go," I said, as I moved the King's Pawn forward two squares. "The Golden Council has no doubt gotten wind of our own team to find the Lost One. In retaliation, I'm sure they prepared a team of their own." More pieces clicked into place. Kyana was frowning, no doubt trying to keep ahead of the game and pay attention to what I was trying to say. I took a sip of my wine and curled my lips upwards, revealing my slightly pointed incisors -- a 'family trait'.

"We're far stronger than those weaklings," Kyana snarled, capturing my knight. I suspected Gray behind this.

"But of course," I replied, broadening my smile. I moved my bishop and took her knight. She cursed under her breath. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Andy growing more and more impatient. "Nevertheless... it pays to be cautious. We cannot allow our rashness --" Kyana's rook fell into my carefully orchestrated trap "-- to blind us. Then we make mistakes."

"Wise as always, Lord Soren," she flattered. I took another sip of the wine.

"I'm sure you're up to the task," I continued, eyeing the board. "You shall lead the team, Kyana. Move to intercept the enemy. The conflict will no doubt stir the Lost One's attention, at the very least. Take Andy and others with you. Then, I shall lead a separate strike force to penetrate at the heart of the Golden Council."

"Y-you, my Lord?!" Kyana spluttered.

"Yes me," I answered, tersely. "Do not be hasty though."

Kyana captured my queen with a smug smile.

"And make mistakes," I breathed, capturing her King with my waiting rook. "Checkmate." I placed glass down by the board with a resounding 'clink'.

Kyana fell back, face pale.

"Finally!" Andy exploded.

"You had something to... add, Miss Oswell?" I asked, pointedly, eyes glinting. Strange echoes made their way into the room. A bat screeched outside.

"N-n-no, Lord Soren," Andy stammered.

"You may go," I stated.

Sorry this is a crap post, but it was really the only thing I could come up with at the moment xD My posts will get better, I promise.

Andy Oswell

As soon as Soren said that we could leave, I took Kyana's elbow and pulled her out of the room, all to eager to get away from his gaze. Soren might have been our lord, but he still scared me, which said a lot because I wasn't scared of anything. When I looked over at Kyana, her face was still pale and she was staring off into space. I shook her a little bit and watched as she blinked a couple of times and then looked at me.

"Even though that was probably the biggest waste of time, I'm glad we're officially looking for the Lost One," I said, dragging her along beside me. "I don't know about you, but I'm super bored!" I gave her my most innocent smile. "Why don't we find someone to play with?"

I looked at the floor around me and then growled irritably.

"Great idea!" I sneered, "'You take that side of the room and I'll take this one!' Now I know why you're the brains of this operation."

I sighed; there was no way to escape the maze of mouse traps we had laid out. We'd have to clear ourselves a path, trap by trap; that could us hours, with the size of this room.

"Genius," I growled, "Pure genius."

"Oh get off it."

I whirled around, "I'll get off it when I'm good and ready; if I have to pound you- wait- that damned rat!"

"What?" he turned around.

"There's that mouse again. He's going for the cherries."

"This mouse is crazy. How does he know there were traps around here?"

He's got eyes, I grumbled inwardly, though I was impressed by him as well.

My eyes were fixed on the rodent, as he reached the bunch of cherries.

What is he-? Uh oh.

He tossed a cherry in the air, making it land on a trap nearby us. I tried to cover my head, but I was a moment too late; and I suddenly found myself covered from head to toe with the traps we had just laid out.

The traps pinched every bit of me. They clamped on my pants and my shirt; the hair of my arms, my ears, my hair; everything was covered with the traps. I stood for a moment, too enraged to even bother removing the traps.

"Well I guess we did one hell of a good job laying out the traps, didn't we? If I were a mouse, you'd have me dead to rights!"

"It's not my-"

"Not a word!" I bellowed, as I whirled around on him and jammed my finger in his face.

I shook my arm, sending two mouse traps flying off my wrist and forearm, and then pointed my finger at him once more.

"Stop acting like this is my fault!" he snapped.

I punched him, knocking him over into a row of mouse traps the dang mouse hadn't managed to set off with his cherry. I stomped out the side door, roughly jerking some of the traps off me.

I saw two girls heading towards me; one seemed half sick, the other was skipping gleefully beside her, and both were carrying bats.

Oh god, what are they up to?

The one who had been skipping raised her bat as she neared me, threatening to swing it at me.

I pointed my finger towards her threateningly. "I'm not in the mood!"

She stopped short, seeming shocked by my reaction.

"Why don't you make yourselves useful and get these damned traps off of me?"

I loathe the council room. Too small. I glance at my comrades. One looks a bit angry, the next relaxed, and the third, unreadable. I realize my foot is tapping and try to stand still.
This room really is small and seems to be getting smaller. Covered in mahogany with golden door handles, the room is dark and ominous and a bit scary. I shiver, then giggle nervously. There's a faint echo.

Going to put names in bold, so everyone knows what part to read depending on which side there character is.

Destiny Cross

I allowed a few seconds of silence to go by and the news of them going on a mission sink in for them, my thoughts return to Soren for that in which I knew I would have to soon face in battle. I looked down as more news came in, but nothing that was of immediate importance at the moment. But now the task was at hand to deliver the mission to the four that stood before me.

"Your task four warriors, is to seek out and recruit the Lost One to our cause. With the recruitment of the Lost One, horrible disasters can and will be averted. With the Lost One safely with us, we can slowly and surely dismantle the Dark Tribe and its followers. Those who choose to follow the Dark Tribe, are sworn enemies of the Golden Council, and must be dealt with post haste." I said looking down at more news that came in.

As I talked, I seemed emotionless but trusting. I may the leader of the Golden Council but that still required professionalism, very few times could ever let this rouse end. And soon I would have to choose a new husband as the eight other wise men ask I do before I ever face Soren in combat, I suppose for the Light Pharaoh to have a new host and to have him carry the Golden Leader subconsciousness into the newborn as it did me with my father, I moved on hitting a few digital buttons on my desk to pull up Soren's profile and his chosen warriors to find and destroy the Lost One. Soon four digital panels appeared and each one had a picture of a different person, the top one was Soren. The second Kyana "Amon" Bell, the third Andy Oswell, and the fourth Creole Henson.

"The three below Soren, are your enemies in this mission. Kyana "Amon" Bell is possibly the most dangerous of the three due to her anger and ability with weapons. But she is not the designated leader due to her multi personality disorder, I believe it is best to have her as your first target because she is this dangerous. The next: Andy Oswell might be the designated leader due to her proficiency in battle, and no known mental or physical disorders. The next D Tribe member is Creole Henson, he seems to be the least threatening in actual combat. But he has a strange power in which he can attack the mind of his chosen target in battle, not much in known how he attacks or how he acquired this power but nonetheless can become a dangerous foe if given the chance to be." I said as I pressed the buttons.

"It'll all be included in a detailed report of there history and known weaknesses, take this with you and make sure each member brushes up on these files." I said pressing a button.

The four panels all condense into a paper thin, magically enchanted analysis, my clone that I had made during my briefing stepped out of the shadows and gave the analysis to Aurora Fae. The high priestess of the Golden Council, she gladly accepts it as my clone takes a few steps back from her.I channel the rest of my thoughts though the clone as I finished up.

"I deem Auora Fae leader of this group, during this mission she will help you other three track down the Lost One. And do not forget, this is a team effort and must be done as a team." I finished my clone disappearing after the last word.

Kyana "Amon" Bell

Creole had sure gotten himself into some trouble, how could a mere mouse do this much damage? Then I remember Gray heading towards the kitchen just before I got to Soren quarters. I was officially putting Gray on lock down, after this. I roughly pulled off the mouse traps as Creoles additude wasn't helping him at all, and I was purposely pulling them off instead of lifting the trap first. He cringed each time I did it, I could see the look on his face as I knew he was getting annoyed by the face that I was causing him pain each time. Andy seemed to be doing it on purpose to, but couldn't be sure, Andy pulls off the last one as she didn't look happy and I knew it was because of Creole.

"There, happy?" She asked in a sarcastic tone.

"Yea now get out of here." He said his additude still showing though.

I turned to the door grabbing our bats as we do Andy leaves Creoles side and comes to mind as I toss her a bat, I soon walk out the door. Andy following behind as I could hear some new music coming on, Avenged Sevenfold: Nightmare. Here at the Dark Tribe every day was a party except for when Soren had some mission or something to be carried out by some group or whatever.

"We ain't going to beat down Creole?" Andy asks.

"He has his own problems, and were supposed to be headed to the armory to get geared up for our hunt." I said.

"True." She said as I can hear the annoyance and boredom in her voice.

We soon make our way to the armory as I resisted the urge to go dancing to the music, I soon found myself in the armory as I armed myself with the Bow and Arrows of Lust and the Dagger of Wrath. I began to get worried when Gray hadn't returned, he wasn't normally away for this long. And normally shows his face when he was done playing around, soon the doors open again and I see Creole enter the armory. He immediately picks up the staff of envy as Andy arms herself with the Sword of Violence, which she was really skilled with.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Soren sent me here, saying I'm with you two for hunting the Lost One." He said.

I cringed and looked at Andy, who knew I was planning on only taking her on this trip of ours. I curled my fingers and looked back him not entirely sure what to say, Soren's words were orders.

Clenching the Sword of Violence tighter, I resisted the urge to hit Creole with it. Of course the only thing that he'd done was ruin my overly happy mood. I didn't really want him to come with us, I wanted it to be just Kyana and me, but I wasn't about to go against Soren's orders. I'd just have to find some poor victim to take my anger out on.

The thought of beating someone to death made me smile and for a second I completely forgot that I was upset with Creole. Kyana gave me a look like she knew what I was thinking. Then again, the only time I really smiled was when I was creating chaos and violence, thus the reason I had become so good with the Sword of Violence. I let out a sigh, a little bit happier than I'd been a second ago.

"I have a feeling this is going to be a long hunt," I noted. "I better get to kill someone, or this is going to be the worst hunt ever."

I blushed a little, but nodded. Leader of the search. It was a rare honor for one with my status in the days of yore. "As good as done, milady." I whistled for Arthur.
He perched on my shoulder and rubbed his head against my cheek, ruffling his feathers just to tickle me on purpose. He nodded and whispered in my ear, "Let us go and find the Lost One before our adversary does. This race has been on since the First Council, so we must end it before it becomes endless."
I nodded myself. Arthur, like all the spirits in the Council, was ancient, so his talk was no stranger to me. I looked at the others. "Suit up, comrades. The race is on and we must not dilly-dally. One minute wasted by us is a minute used by the Tribe." I kid them not. If the Tribe ever got to the Lost One first, then all hope was lost.

Dark Pharaoh

I had my fill of food as a mouse, which was mostly of the cherry I used to set off the traps and some strawberries I stole from Andy. I was in no mood for cheese. It was too early in the morning for that. Instead, I was in the mood for something worth my time.
What kept me in the halls was the sound of Nox Arcana. No doubt the music suited the leader, considering that he was feared by his henchfolk. Even I was afraid of him, but it was mostly because he reminded me too much of my abusive uncle when I was alive. Sometimes I wished that kind of thing never happened, but it didn't stop me from conversating with the Dark Tribe leader.
We spoke like old friends, discussing each other's past and present lives. He once told me that I was allowed to come in his room, as long as I didn't break any furniture. As much as I wanted to break that limit and cause mischief like I just did at the kitchen, I knew better than that. The second I push my luck would be my last second of mischief. I had to be extra careful with such matter.
I went through the door of his room, greeted by shrieks from the bat. I rolled my eyes and assumed my living appearance. "I'm not here to cause mischief. Just to pay a little friendly visit while I had nothing better to do. Besides, one of your henchfolk's in a bad mood because I set off some mousetraps before I had my breakfast." I chuckled. "I love a good laugh in the morning."
Look down and show some mercy if you can.

"Pharaoh," I said, coolly, appearing from the secret passage that connected the studio and my room. The effect, to an outsider, was my appearance from the wall. The bat flew to my arm. "A pleasure to see you, as always."

"I would say the same, for the most part," replied the spirit whom I knew as Dark Pharaoh.

"What brings you here, Pharaoh?" I asked, sitting down at the chair by the ever-present chess-table.

"I was bored," the Pharaoh explained. "Mouse traps only entertain for so long."

I chuckled. The Pharaoh had outwitted my men even this time. I fully expected him to, of course. I had found what he did to Creole quite amusing, actually. I took a mental note to ask the guards to up the security. Let's see what the Pharaoh would do then.

"Well then, how about a game of chess?" I offered, motioning the Pharaoh to sit.

"Somebody beat you?" he asked, in disbelief. The Pharaoh was staring down at the board, where my king lay flat, a gesture of defeat.

I winced. I had forgotten to clear the board. "Yes, that was Violet, my niece. I have challenged all the greatest chessmasters throughout history, and never lost -- except to Fisher, way back in the day -- to anyone but her."

"I'm amazed," the Pharaoh confessed. "I had thought you as unbeatable."

"Nothing is invincible, Pharaoh," I replied, grinning, re-setting the board. The background music changed, and we began playing.

Click, click, went the pieces. I frowned. The Pharaoh was a worthy opponent.

"Tell me Pharaoh, what do you know of the Lost One?" I asked.

The Pharaoh frowned, narrowly avoiding a trap I had set up. Unfortunately, that placed him at a disadvantage, which I'm sure he knew.

"Nothing I'd care to tell," the Pharaoh replied. "I've been with the Lost One since he -- or she -- was a newborn, but now is not the time nor the place"

"Fair enough," I said, amiably. "Besides, we already know much. More than what you might think."

The Pharaoh grunted and cursed as he lost a knight. I moved my queen into position.

"Pharaoh, a word of warning," I said, as I made my next move. "Do not attempt to cross Violet. She is young, and not as merciful or kind as I am."

The Pharaoh chuckled. "No mortal girl is able to harm me," he answered, a touch of arrogance entering his voice.

"Rest assured, Violet is more than capable of banishing you from this Earth," I said. "Checkmate."

*** *** ***

I grunted and stood after the Pharaoh had left. I walked outside to the balcony, overlooking a forested lake. The breezes always soothed me. In the distance, birds chirped.

I slipped my hand into my pocket and withdrew a sleek black iPhone. I dialed a number and waited.

"Yes, Uncle?" came the young, slightly bored voice of my niece.

"Where are you now?" I asked, keeping my voice level.

"Coming back here from town, don't worry. Ugh, why must you always keep tabs on me? It's annoying."

I bit back a sharp retort and took a deep breath.

"Come back here pronto. I just now dispatched two of our members, Kyana Bell and Andy Oswell. Remember them?"

"Those losers?" she replied. "Sure I remember them. I doubt they remember me though."

"I want you to intercept them and see if they're up to the task of challenging the Golden Council's best. I'll send you as back-up if it's required."

Violet groaned, and I could practically see her roll her eyes.

"Fine," she sighed. "If you insist."

"Oh," I added, as an after-thought. "Go easy on them. I don't want our prime members to reach the battlefield with broken bones."

The line went dead.

The girls looked annoyed at my command. Why wouldn't they be? I was being a jerk and I knew it; I was just too sore to care. I watched them suspiciously, as the considered me, and then set their bats against the wall. The girls started jerking the traps off me, not even bothering to lift the the flap first, causing a spasm of pain where each trap had been.

I jumped when they jerked the first few off, but, seeing Kyana watching for a reaction, and realizing that they were purposely trying to cause me pain, I decidedly set my jaw; trying not to give them any satisfaction, though I knew I still cringed with every trap.

"There, happy?"Andy asked sarcastically.

Thrilled. I've been hoping for months that one day I'd wake up, set hundreds of mouse traps, and then get outsmarted by a rat and get to wear each one.

"Yeah now get out of here," I growled, annoyed that they had been so cruel in removing the traps.

But what could I say to them? It's not like I could prove that they were causing as much pain as they could; and they were taking the traps off of me.

I stood rigidly as the girls grabbed their bats and left the hallway; half afraid that they'd decide to turn on me.

I'd probably pound me, after the way I treated them. Gosh I was obnoxious. I'd better watch my back a bit closer, now that I've made enemies with those two. I hope we don't ever get stuck on the same job.

I rolled my shoulder and rubbed my arms, which were covered in red blotches.

Dumb traps.

I kicked the pile of traps, sending them skidding in all directions; and then skulked down the hallway, hoping I'd be able to find a nice, quiet spot to sit until I cooled down; or at least a suitable target to beat up. I stomped outside; finding myself in a small clearing, with a lake and the forest stretching out in front of me. I decidedly walked until I was concealed by trees; just out of sight of the castle...I thought.

I stomped back and forth, trying to figure out a way to blow off steam without getting myself in trouble. I grabbed a sturdy stick lying on the ground and smacked a tree with it; the wood stung my hands, but felt good, considering the mood I was in. I hit the tree over and over, each blow coming more rapidly than the last. Something was going to break, whether it was stick or the tree, I didn't really care. Finally when I hit the tree, a bit splintered off of my club; encouraged I pulled the stick back further.

"Creole!" I heard a voice say from behind me, mid-swing.

I jumped; the club flew from my hands and went clattering through the woods, cleaning leaves off of several branches. I whirled around, flailing my arms to catch my balance; finally I recovered my balance, and looked into the face of Soren.

My eyes were wide with fear; I knew I was in big trouble if he wanted to talk to me.

He smirked, "I heard you had quite an adventure with the mouse traps this morning."

My face flushed red with embarrassment and I nervously rubbed my neck. "Erm, well, yes...yes sir."

"Seems you came out victorious..." He walked past me and rubbed the tree, where I had stripped it from it's bark. "No mouse traps nor trees can keep this mighty warrior down."

I was sweating like crazy; terrified for what he would say next.

"...You're going with Andy and Kyana," he said, as he turned around.

I was shocked, "W-what?!"

I had just gotten out witted by a mouse, and he was sending me on a mission?

He raised an eyebrow threateningly, "What do you mean, 'what'? I thought I made myself perfectly clear. You're going with Andy and Kyana...do you have a problem with that?"

"No sir!" I replied promptly.

"I thought not. You'll find the girls in the armory...you'd do well to join them."

I hesitated a moment, wondering if that meant I was dismissed. I didn't dare turn my back on Soren if he wasn't finished.

"Well go on," he snapped.

I sprinted back towards the castle.

~~~~
I ran all the way back to the armory, and, sure enough, found Kyana and Andy already there. I pushed open the door and grabbed the Staff of Envy, as Andy was arming herlef with the Sword of Violence.
"What are you doing here?" Kyana demanded.
"Soren sent me here, saying I'm with you two for hunting the Lost One," I replied, slightly winded.
She winced and looked at Andy; at a loss for words, yet obviously as annoyed by the arrangement as I was. I looked at Andy too; and found her grasping the sword tightly, grinning menacingly. I take a step away from her as she sighed.
"I have a feeling this is going to be a long hunt," I noted. "I better get to kill someone, or this is going to be the worst hunt ever."
I can't afford to have them both angry with me, if I'm going to try to work with them. They might just find a way to get me killed and make it look like an accident.
"Well you'd better share," I grumbled, as cracked my back.
"What?" Andy demanded.
"You'd better let me help you kill somebody if you get the chance. I want some of the fun too."
I turned towards Kyana, hoping that Andy took it jokingly, and didn't sink her sword into my back. I watched as a snake slithered down Kyana's right shoulder and coiled around her forearm.
"...Alright, let's go," I said, as the snake settled into a comfortable position.
"You need to knock that off, and you need to do it fast," Kyana growled angrily.
What did I do now?
"What?" I asked uncertainly.
"Stop trying to boss us around. Just because I'm stuck with you for the hunt doesn't mean that I suddenly take orders from you. Got it?" She asked, as she jabbed a finger into my chest.
I sort of liked her telling me off.
That's cool. A girl that can actually speak bluntly.
"Alright," I agreed, "Fine...are you ready to leave yet?"
"...I'll tell you when I'm ready."
"Fine; just keep in mind that if we leave now, we're less likely to be stuck with more hunting partners...I'm not good with teamwork; and you don't seem to be thrilled by it either."
Her resolve faltered a moment, "Alright, let's go then."
"I love that word: dilly-dally," I said, glad to be out of the stuffy room. I picked up the staff of kindness and giggled as the spirit fish, Moana, brushed past my shoulder. Gripping the staff with my toes, I walked on my hands for a time.
"Bravery and caution will be needed, young Fade," Moana said, darting around me. That's what I liked about Moana; she rarely stopp moving. Like me. Her favorite words seemed to be bravery and caution. But I didn't know if I could be either. I'd never really tried to.
"I'll try," I said. Moana flicked her tail anxiously.
"You mustn't try, but be," she said, "All is for naught if one can not be. Nothing else exists but being. Your ears are open? You listen to what I tell you?" I nodded.
"Good," Moana said, "now learn the ways of your comrades, for unknown friends are little better than enemies. An unknown friend can barely be. Know the ways of your enemies as well, for an unknown enemy is more feared than all else. An unknown enemy can be anything." I had fallen behind the other three, so I hopped to my hands to catch up. Everyone seemed deep in thought.
"So what does the thinga-majigger say?" I asked Aurora.
Suit up? I thought, a little bit giddy, This is suited up. I got my axe, my cards, my money, my clothes, my vodka, and my Alma. What else do I need? I guess maybe I could use some rope... And maybe some of my mom's stuff... Ah hell, the sum of my belongings could fit into a backpack. Just take it all idjiot. I started packing when Alma pawed my hand. "What?" I asked, slightly annoyed.
"You should get to know some people, make some friends. Prove you don't burn, but warm," she said.
"We'll have plenty of time when we hit the road," I replied, resuming packing.
"No you won't Zack, you'll be to busy. This or that, you'll barely have time for, say, cards and vodka."
"You're not gunna drop this, are you?"
"Just shut up and at least get to know the Fae person; respecting your superiors is not only a good thing, it's necessary for a cohesive team. But be careful of the bird; he bites," Alma said, running off. I sighed and stood up; just because she left didn't mean she couldn't do something to get me in trouble.
We were off to find The Lost One. Aurora was out leader for this mission, which was alright with me. As long as I wasn't up front, giving orders. I disliked having a lot of attention or pressure on me, but finding one person was putting enough pressure on me.
Sitting next to me, my bear cub Soul, was listening. I reached my hand down petting him. Me and Soul could operate in unison, as if we could tell each other what to do with a glance. Ever since coming and joining the Golden Council and meeting everyone and Soul, I was becoming happier.
I tightened my grip on the spear next to me. The Spear of Forgiveness. It allowed me to paralyze people with a single cut from the sharp part. I could heal with a light touch from the tip. It was a delicate, nerve-racking, and mind boggling task, but healing would come in handy. I hated using it, since I was so in tune with the earth.
Sighing softly, I rubbed my eyes as if I just woke up. All this would distract me from what was going on around here. I looked down at Soul who nodded.
"Landon, make sure you pack me some Salmon," he told me.
"Don't let me forget the cake," I joked. Soul seemed to laugh and we both smiled. We could keep each other company till the world ended, and wouldn't mind. As long as he had his Salmon and I had my cake, we would be okay.
I looked at my screens which were blank as the others left. I shut them off and looked down at Soul. "Well, let's go pack," I said.
"We better hurry, we don't want to be late," Soul said before running off leaving me behind.
"Soul! Wait up!" I shouted chasing after him.
I finished packing quickly, throwing the first things my hands touched into a pack. I skipped out the door- nearly bumping into a boy running out of his room. He swerved out of the way at the last moment and I slammed on the breaks so to speak.
"You're Landon, right?" I asked.
"Yeah," he said, "you're Fade."
"I am!" I said, laughing, "nice to meet you!" He nodded in reply.
"Were you chasing something invisible, or were you just running for the fun of it?" I asked.
"I was chasing Soul, my spirit bear," he said.
"Oh," I said, nodding, "that makes sense. Moana's a fish and she's really nice." Moana brushed her fin against my hand warmly and I giggled. I pulled some gummy worms out of my pocket and offered Landon some. I loved my worms of gumminess.
I sighed as the warriors went off, looking back at the profiles I was sure that this would be a long day let alone a week. I sighed deeply as the wise men began to silently chatter among themselves, talking about who knows what. I hit a hot button and a chess board appeared in front of me, setting the difficulty to the highest possible. I began to silently play as the digital chess pieces made no noise, after placing the computer in checkmate. I sighed again as it had only been an hour since I started, the warriors were surely gone by now, I leaned back in my chair as I thought of what to do next. The Dark Pharaoh had to spit up the identity of the Lost One soon, it would give my warrior's the edge they need in order to win this race. I lean back towards my desk propping my arms up on the desk. lacing my fingers as I concentrate the appearance of the Dark Pharaoh before me, and soon a void grew time and space ripping itself apart until finally the Dark Pharaoh appeared before me in his human form.
"So glad of you to join us, Dark Pharaoh." I said aloud.
He turned to look at me, obviously annoyed by the sudden summoning of mine. He floated into the air coming to equal level of me as he got closer, wise men got anxious looks as they didn't approve of the Dark Pharaoh being this close to me.
"Trust me, I rather not be here. I was having a little fun with the Dark Tribe until you ripped a hole in reality and made me come here." He replies in his annoyed tone.
"My apologies then, but I hope you've had you're fill of mischief for the day. Cause I plan on keeping you here until you tell me who the Lost One is so I can summon him or her here, or until more important matters come up." I replied calmly.
"Ha, me telling you where my host is? As if he or she has ordered me not to tell where he or she is, and trust me disobeying an order from the person your spirit is bound to. Is a little harder than it looks. She'll kill me if she finds out that I told you or Soren of where she is or what she looks like." He said smugly.
I made a mental note of "she" since he had continually said that towards the end of his sentence. I continued on since playing to his ego seems to get him to slip up on details.
"Well, I'm sure he or she is quiet powerful for she or he is the one who is said to bring revelation to us all." I replied.
"Yes he or she is, but that nasty additude has it saying otherwise." He said.
I tried to contain a smile as the second detail came loss from his lips, but the only thing I have a solid lead on was the fact the Lost One was a she. A smile soon slips by me and I begin to smile at him, his fingers curl as he realizes that he had slipped up and sure enough he floats away towards the door. I didn't bother engaging locks since he was a spirit, but soon enough came flying back with an angered look on his face. Sure enough, he was not used to be outwitted so easily.
Kyana "Amon" Bell
If it was one thing I hated, it was weakness and this guy who got beat by a mouse, covered in traps, and was on orders from Soren for this hunt. What in the world was Soren thinking exactly? Me and Andy were his top fighters and this guy... I never saw in a brawl once, but whatever. Me and Andy packed up our things as we needed and started out, I could feel my cobra tighten around my fore arm as it slithered up my arm and back to my shoulder. Andy was at my side, Creole was falling behind. When Andy thought we were at a safe distance away from him she began to talk.
"So when we ditching this guy?" She asks.
"Dunno, depends on how useful he is. Otherwise I say we find a train station and shove him in front of a train as it passes." I replied in a whisper.
"What would you do if you had the chance to get with him?" She asked again in a giggly tone.
"Get with him? Not even, I get with you sooner than him." I said jokingly.
We laughed together like the friends we were, I had recalled the first time I met Andy. Back when I had realised what Gray had made me do, but I had to thank him sort of because I had met Andy. When we first met, she had intended to beat the hell out of me for being the "Newbie" of the Dark Tribe. After she had punched me, I had punched back. And it eventually turned into a slug out as we traded blows with each other, and eventually we both ended up on the ground laughing at each other when we had the breath. I honestly had to say because of that fight, me and Andy had become friends with each other and eventually we started hanging with each other.
"Hurry up Creole, your falling behind!" I soon call out behind me.
Dark Pharaoh
I was far from being angry. In fact, I was beyond my boiling point and just about to erupt. The head of the Council may have outwitted me for the first time in her life, but I mentally swore to the gods not to give her that crack in my wall again. I glared at her and growled. "Don't think you've won this battle yet. I still have the higher ground because the location of my host will never pass my lips. You can put your money on that." I slipped out of the council room and explored the halls of the palace. The palace once was my home, my old stomping grounds. I still had some time before returning to my host, so I decided to give the Council a taste of their own medicine.
With a mischievious grin, I slipped into tomb after tomb, creating a mess as either a tiger or a black bear. When I slipped into one tomb, I stopped cold. This one was my own tomb, my body's resting place. I studied the sarcophogus before me, broken inside. I died when an enemy was dying by my sword. He turned my own sword against me and stabbed me in the heart, ending my life and giving birth to the Dark and Light Pharaohs. I wandered the earth until I was imprisoned by the Council for five centuries. After I broke loose, I wandered the earth again until I found my host. Even now, I wished the current head of the Council would leave me alone and stop interogatting me about my host. Where and who my host is was strictly my own business, so the head of the Council and Soren had no right to question me about my business.
I shook my head. This was no time to go down memory lane. I had some mischief to cause. I went about my mischief, wreaking the rooms of every council member save for one. I had great respect for the room I saved, for the occupant of it was partially of my family line.
Aurora Fae
I heard racket from all over the halls and knew instantly what was the cause of it. No doubt our leader summoned the Dark Pharaoh and he's wreaking the place out of mischief. I was about to check it out when Arthur perched on my shoulder again. I sighed. "What is it, Arthur?"
Arthur whispered in my ear, "Dark Pharaoh's causing havoc in the palace, but spared his own tomb and your chamber. He knows you're of his cousin's bloodline, so he spared your chamber out of respect. A High Priestess deserves respect, which is what you just received from Dark Pharaoh."
I went to my room, just to check. It was completely untouched, save for a note left on my desk. I looked and began reading.
To my fair and lovely Fairy Priestess,
I know you're of my cousin Sethos' bloodline. You have his eyes, a common family trait on his side. As you know, I have a host to return to after your leader summons me. As she knows, only a High Priest or Priestess can imprison me. However, knowing your level of magic, imprisoning me would be a rather dangerous task to do. Soon, you will be strong enough to imprison me without losing your life. Until that day comes around, you're walking a thin wire in attempt to imprison me. Happy hunting, young High Priestess.
Dark Pharaoh
I rolled my eyes. For a spirit full of mischief, he writes like a scholar and a gentleman. No matter. I was still assigned with a duty. I had to find the Lost One before the Dark Tribe does. If I had to, I'd die for the entire Golden Council to give them a better head start.
Look down and show some mercy if you can.
Look down, look down, upon your fellow man.
