I nod, "Wonderful,," I smile, "You alright?"

Jackie

I shake my head, "No..." I say, glancing around again, I see lots of scotch bottles by the chairs and I shake my head, "I swear if anything happened...oh. Wait! Jesse!"

I run inside, finding her on the couch. I shake her, "WAKE UP!"

She wake immediately, sighing, "What?"

"What happened last night?" I ask, crouching before her.

She chuckles, raising an eyebrow, "You guys don't remember?"

Jace

I reveal my head and nod, flashing a smile as I look at her, "Yeah, just don't want to deal with today. Nic...ew. He has to take your mind over for a little. He's gonna pollute you."

Nic

I follow her inside and stay in the background as she wakes Jesse, asking her what happened.

"Nah, we were kind of drunk off our a*ses," I answer Jesse's question, "What happened?"

Rayah

I shudder, sighing, "Yeah..." I say, flipping on my back.

Jackie

Jesse sighs and sits up, thinking, "Well, We played truth or dare," She starts. Oh Sh*t.

"Why am I in a bikini?" I ask.

She chuckles, "Nic kinda uh...Dared you to put it on and..." she trails off, scratching the back of her head, "That's not important," She sighs, grinning.

Jace

I roll closer to her and set an arm around her stomach, resting my head on her shoulder, "You think I could stand on stage with you? Keep him in line?"

I dared her to put on that bikini? ....Awesome!

"What happened after that?" I ask, "If it wasn't important, you wouldn't be grinning like you are now."

Rayah

I nod, watching him, his hand warm against my cold skin, "Yeah. Probrably."

Jackie

"Yeah...stuff happened. Jackie dared you to make out with yourself in a mirror," She chuckles, "And then that's when I left because things were getting...." She looks at the both of us, "Mushy."

What...? Are we even together...?

I glance at Nic before standing.

Jace

I take a deep breath before closing my eyes again, noticing how visible my burns are and not wanting to draw attention to how the prickle a little from being in contact with something. She's freezing, in my opinion, which makes it better, but I still want nothing to do with arguing about them again.

"Would you mind if I did?" I ask, "He might behave a little more if I am."

I made out with myself in a mirror? Eh...I can actually see that happening...

Jackie looks at me and I study her before looking back at Jesse.

"Could you define 'mushy'?" I ask.

Rayah

I nod, setting my hand over his, and press my face to his chest, taking a deep breath, "It's fine with me."

Jackie

Jesse shrugs, "Romantic stuff. Kissing, giggling...all that," She says, walking to the kitchen. I bite my lip, thinking.

I glance at Nic again before throwing a shirt and pants on. Awkward.

Jace

I flash a smile and take a deep breath as well, keeping my eyes closed as she moves to set her hand over mine and her face against my chest.

I swallow and look down, making a mental note not to ever get drunk in front of a pretty girl again.

"Sorry," I say again, "Um...maybe I should go."

Rayah

I take a deep breath, loving his warmth, "Your so warm," I whisper.

Jackie

I sigh, "It's not bad. Nothing intense happened. We're adults, Nic. It doesn't really matter," I say, walking into the kitchen to get some water.

Jace

I flash a smile and kiss her neck, "You usually are too. But today...why are you so cold?"

Nic

I glance up at her as she heads into the kitchen.

It matters to me. I'm continuing to screw myself over. If something intense had happened...

I run a hand through my hair and sit on the couch, looking down.

One kiss. Is that really all it takes? Why couldn't Avalians have been stronger than that? Been like the normal humans? Better yet, why does that stupid curse even exist?

I sigh and scratch the back of my head again, slipping my phone out and checking the message from Alyx. I reply back and slip it away again, shaking my head.

Rayah

I shrug, closing my eyes for a second, "Maybe because I'm relaxed."

Jackie

I think, getting myself some coffee instead, and sit across from Nic in the living room, "Don't feel bad," I tell him, warming my hands, "Things happen. We can't dwell on the past. We have to focus on the present."

Jace

I nod and wrap my other arm around her, not moving my hand off her stomach.

I look up at Jackie and shake my head, "It's not that. It's something else."

Rayah

He keeps a hand on my stomach, moving his other arm around me and I flash a smile, keeping my eyes closed, feeling defrosted. I keep myself covered though, just in case someone walks in at the last minute.

Jackie

I nod, finishing my coffee, and stand, "Gimme your hand."

Confused, he gives me his hand, and I write my number down on it. I smile, "I'm gonna start walking home, bye."

Jace

I take a deep breath and wonder how well today will go, hoping Nic will keep his dirty self from completely corrupting my perfect Rayah.

She writes her number on my hand and smiles.

"Bye," I smile back, watching her leave.

So confusing... Yet...so clear. Equally strange.

I enter her number in my phone before slipping it away again, hesitating before heading up to the lovebirds' room and knocking.

"Rise and shine, pigeons," I call, "S'time to get going."

Rayah

I sigh and slip a shirt and pants on under the covers, standing once done, "I'm changing into my dress," I say, going into the closet and changing.

Jackie

I walk into my house, which was right across from Nic's or whatever, and change into what I'm wearing for the ceremony. I change into a tight black dress that is really short, with boots, a choker, and gloves that show my fingers. I slip my leather jacket on afterwards and curl my hair, wondering if I'll see Nic there tonight.
