Well hello there.

Hello there,

I am new here and roaring to go, a little bit of information about me should suffice.

I'm an 22 year old service technician with a affection to writing (You don't say! ). Previously to my current project I've had experience with writing articles for various websites. This also sparked some fire to blast off in a semi-autobiographic-fiction-novel. The pen being my sword and the paper (or screen) as the dragon about to get slain.

On a more personal note I'm quite the adventurous person and always like to get new and more experiences, carpe diem as one might say. Unfortunately this lifestyle is now under drastic change since I've been diagnosed with Tietze Syndrome (Wikipedia) about 5 month's ago. Between you and me it's like being stabbed with blades made from lava over and over again right in the chest.

Furthermore I'm from the Netherlands and besides speaking Dutch and English I can do a little bit of French as well.

Hey Vanz! This is very interesting, to be honest. I'm sorry to hear about your condition in Tietze Syndrome. It sounds very painfull. Besides that, I hope you have a great time here on YWS! To be honest, I think you fit in with alot of us.

Oh, I like your enthusiasm and your semi-autobiographical-fiction-novel seems interesting and full of adventure, lol. At least that's how I picture it after the whole dragon/slayer reference.

Hello Vanz!! I am new here too!! Sorry to here about the Tietze Syndrome you have I know what it's like to be in pain-I have scoliosis - curvature of the spine and am now developing these incapacitating headaches that are unexplained. I am a new writer and haven't started writing anything yet but you're book sounds cool!I was born in the Netherlands too but I moved ( I live in Tobago now!)I have forgotten all of my Dutch maybe you can help me learn again? Hello to everyone else as well I am a newbie( can you tell?)and anxious for any help as I love writing Duh!! For the interest in my writing I can only say it's a work in progress and so far no dragons, but yes there are other fearsome and grim creatures on the prowl that might have it in for you as well!

Curious about what these beings are? Well here you go:

The creature was as white as the cliffs of marble they stood upon its skin looked like stone and its claws were as sharp as death's scythe itself. It stood up right, having the same height of that of an adult man. Eyes blood red and filled with hate. The only facial expression the creature made was a sickening grin filled with evil and exposing its rows of razor sharp teeth. Suddenly the creature lashed out!

So what things to you like to write? Poetry, novels, Fantasy, etc. etc.

At this moment I'm making my first attempt at a novel and well other than that it all comes at random to me.

Sometimes crazy bizarre little sketches that just pop-up and other times poetry <- Which is heavily mood dependant with me.

For example I once wrote a small poem (Which ended in a horrible translation in English) when I still worked at a call-center (The most depressing thing I've ever done.) and now when looking back at it, it is the utmost depressing thing I've ever wrote and I so hope I never ever dwell to that place again.

You know what, for you SkyeJane I'll also post the original Dutch version.

Steeds dieper zinkend in 9 cirkels van waanzin.

Steeds die realisatie en zoekend,

Hey vanz I really like this!! Thank you for posting both versions as I miss Dutch but can't understand most of it! This is a really good poem! Sad is not a bad thing you know!!

Exactly the thing that I want to accomplish. I want the reader to define the borders of the story's reality and the actual world. Preferably that they won't be able to that it remains a blur that gets stuck in ones head.

Something that makes for fun and thought. So this is a question I cant actually answer, but when forced to I'd stick with a limited form of fantasy just so there is room to play around.

However realistic fiction is something I like as well.

Haha, That's smart. Have the reader figure it out, have they're own perspective. *Nods* Smart.

All I want do is hand the ingredients and let them find out how to fill in the recipe.

What if they suck at cooking? (not literally) Then no matter how good the ingredients are the stuffjust turns out as grey mush!!But I like the idea I just write and don't limit it to specific genres although you have an explanayion for it,I am just winging it!!
