"The dead must remian the way they are, they mustn't be revived and must be left in peace for ever lasting sleep." I said.
The girl cries her eyes out as everyone watches her with either depressing eyes or what not. Sun was rising soon and there bodies will be scattered to the winds forever gotten, I leave the room and go to the closet I made my bed in climbing in for the day as I soon fall asleep.
An angel, a knight, a man who will bring light to where there is only darkness, I am the Morning Star, the Bringer of Light, hail to me as I am King Lucifer!
I close the curtains and lay on the floor by the foot of the bed, drawing a blanket over me. I glance at the girl who's crying and have to look away, my own emotions stirring.
They're at peace now. They can't suffer anymore.
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
I have an idea and take my phone out, calling Katie and manning up. "Get down here. Now." I say, sniffling. "You look exactly like her. I need to seee her again." She beeps in the driveway and makes her way up. I run over to her when I see her and hug her.
All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie-dust!
I'm guessing the twins were five before...so an eleven year jump sounds pretty good.
Alyx
I watch as the twins duel in the living room, searching for weakness or ways of improvement. Standing, I stop them and gently kick Riley's shoe back in the right position.
"You can pivot, just don't take a step," I remind her, "You've learned to be nimble and quick. Now you two need to learn to stand your ground. Do it again."
I back up just as a gust of warm air hits me. Looking at the door, I take a step away from the living room and wonder...
````````````````````` Jamie
Arms crossed over my torso, I step into the neighborhood. Fragments of images pass through my mind as I numbly endure the night. Something isn't right, something doesn't set. My feet ache and I don't understand where I'm going or what's pulling me to this place. All I remember are five faces. Emotions beyond those faces.
My stomach growls and my throat hurts from the lack of liquids. Exhaustion sweeps over me like the next gust of wind and I try and think back to the last time I slept. This week...last week?
I stop before a house, something warm about the way its roof tilts slightly to the side. A light smile flickers across my face at it and I find my feet taking me to the porch. Silently, I slip up the steps and gaze around at the view. Home?
Peace overcomes me as I turn sleepily to the door and reach for the bell. Just before I can press it, I collapse and black out.
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
I hear someone collapse at the door and sigh just as Riley throws a punch. I duck and barely get hit, grabbing her fist and locking her arm behind her back. I let go and wonder towards the door. Once I do, I find a dude just laying there. I open the door and somehow feel a vibe between us and swallow, taking a step back. "Alyx!"
All you need is faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie-dust!
I thank Logan and pour the glass of water over the boy's face, causing him to stir and wake. His eyes set over us and he sits up, staring straight into Logan's eyes.
"You okay?" I ask, "You collapsed at our doorstep?"
He swallows, looking at Riley and then back at me.
"What's your name? Do you live around here?" I ask.
"J-Jamie," He whispers, feeling his throat, "I-I'm thirsty."
His eyes wander back to the twins when he says that and I curse mentally, standing and looking at Logan.
The bag of blood in the fridge...Go get it quick, please. Then keep Riley inside, I tell him in his mind, glancing back at the boy afterwards.
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
I thank Logan and take the blood bag just as Brooklyn comes up the porch steps. The boy's eyes lock on her, clouded.
"Riley's inside, Brooklyn," I tell her, "But stay in there please. Logan, stay out here with me."
`````````````````````````````` Jamie
I lick my lips at the bag of blood, then see the girl. Something about her... A precious face like the one in memory. She disappears through the door and the man that poured water on my face waves the blood in front of me. My head follows it and I find myself opening my mouth. He flashes a smile before setting it in my hands and letting me drink from it.
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
"S'okay, Lo," I whisper, "Don't look if you don't want to."
I look back at the boy and take the empty bag from him, waiting until he calms down to let Logan back in his view. His eyes clear to a blue and I try and figure things out.
````````````````` Jamie
The man takes the bag back and crouches before me.
"Do you have a reason you're here?" He asks, "Do you live around here?"
I swallow and look around again.
"It's Jamie, right?" He asks, "Can you look at me, Jamie? I can't let you in my house unless I know who sent you."
Who sent me?
I look at him, confused.
"I wasn't sent," I whisper.
