Rayah

I nod, smiling. I walk over to her and sit at her side as she crawls up on my lap.

Indigo

S'my Mistress.

I growl and sit up, my tail twitching in the jealousy. Master picks me up and hushes me, plopping down and setting me on his lap.

Zoey

Something happens and I shift right on Rayah's lap. I fall off and hit my head on the coffee table. "Ouch..."

She looks over at me in concern. "You alright?"

I roll so I'm on my stomach and moan. She sighs and crouches next to me, not letting me shift back. "I don't think you should shift for a while..." She says, feeling my forehead.

Indigo

I growl again and nuzzle Master, leaning against him as he pets me. My eyes never leave Zoey.

Zoey

I stand, in my human form and rub the back of my head, confused. I'm as tall as Rayah now, I was shorter the last time I saw her. I sat on the couch and she sat next to me, starting to braid my hair. I looked over at the other guy with Indigo on his lap. "Who are you?"

Indigo

I growl subconsciously.

"I'm Rayah's husband," Master introduces himself, "Jace."

Rayah

I shake my head at Jace.

Oh no.

Zoey

...what?

"Whoa...She's married? She's seventeen..." She looks over at me confused.

Indigo

Master looks at Rayah, confused.

Why wouldn't you want her to know? I hear him think.

I whine in empathy and pounce on him, climbing up to his shoulders and sitting behind his neck.

Rayah

She's...She just had a breakup and doesn't like to talk about...Husbands or boyfriends or stuff like that...

I look over at her and she's staring out into space. She stands and walks out, and outside. I chase after her and try to get her to forget about her recent boyfriend.

"Zo, He was stupid..." I tell her, "Move on."

Indigo

I watch them from outside, hating how guilty Master felt, and sigh.

You owe me, I growl at him.

I stand and shift, unbuttoning my shirt a little to show the top of my chest. I sit on the porch steps, hoping to be the distraction.

Zoey

I see a little bit of Indigo and glance away, not wanting him to see me like this. Rayah tries to calm me down but then I snap at her. "Just go!" She takes a step back and walks back inside, shaking her head.

Throw myself at the bottom of a tree and breathe.

J-Just forget about him...

Rayah

She snaps at me and I swallow, walking back inside. I look at Jace when I get inside. "S-She'll be fine..."

Indigo

I frown from the lack of attention and stalk off towards her, sitting at her side.

You know, I don't shift for anyone. Especially not outsiders. You could at least look at me. I think you'd find that I'm not such an eyesore.

I suppress a smirk and wait for her response to my joking.

Zoey

I chuckle a little and look at him, shrugging. I flash a small smile and turn to the ground, playing with the grass. "Sorry..."

Indigo

What? No admiration?

I flash a smile and look at the ground as well.

Zoey

I smiled wider, "What?" I ask, looking over at him. "What did you just ask me?" I chuckled.
