Rayah

"Take this," I said, throwing him a diamond necklace that was around my neck. "Go to the demigod camp which is like two miles from here in the woods, show this diamond to the guard, he'll let you in. Go to my dorm, Remember I room with two guys so if their there then don't worry, and get a notebook that's in my drawer under my bunk. Can you do that?" I ask.

Indigo

I take the necklace and grunt a 'yes' before hurrying off.

Rayah

I watch him leave before walking back upstairs to check on Jace. I crouch next to him and brush my thumb past his lips, smiling.

Rayah

I smile wider when he leans into me and I trace my thumb off his lips and down is cheek.

Indigo

I retrieve the notebook and trot up the porch steps and into the living room. I shift and bring the shoe with me up to the bedroom, where I hand Mistress the notebook and shift to chew on the shoe as Master smiles in his sleep.

Rayah

I thank Indigo for getting the notebook and move my hand to the side of Jace's face. "Be right back." I whisper, standing and sitting on the bed, opening the notebook.

Indigo

Master sighs in his sleep and stirs again. I break a hole in the shoe and watch Mistress.

Rayah

I take a pen and start doing some of my homework, trying to do it without giving up.

Indigo

I shift human and perch on the windowsill, glancing at Mistress.

You're strange, Mistress. Don't you have the Little Masters to take care of? Why are you drafting numbers?

Rayah

I glance up at Indigo.

I'm doing it now because Jace wont let me. So I'm doing it when he's not awake.

I say, looking back down.

Indigo

I tilt my head to the side.

Why won't Master let you?

Rayah

I shrug, concentrating on it.

Same thing you said.

Rayah

I shrug again.

I'm not explaining all of it. It's complicated.

I finish a page and turn to the next one, sighing.
